Fanhouse has a list of returning and allocated players to each team. To the surprise of no one, three of the Spurs' training camp cuts are there.

http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/10/30/nba-d-league-rosters-beginning-to-fill-with-allocated-players/

Lewis Clinch - returning player
Squeaky Johnson - returning player
Michael Joiner - returning player
Cory Underwood - returning player
Marcus Cousin - affiliate player
Thomas Gardner - affiliate player
Kevin Palmer - affiliate player
Casaan Breeden - local tryout player
Andres Sandoval - local tryout player

Assuming Gee is kept by the Spurs and send down, this lineup still might have trouble putting points on the board, but having two decent defensive big men (Cousin, Underwood) and even one competent playmaker (Johnson) is a luxury at this level. Hopefully some more offense can be found in the draft Monday.

Glad to see Cousin staying in the fold. :tu Obviously anything can happen at this point still, but hopefully this is a sign that he is willing to be patient and stick with the orgo.

From what I know of the people on that list, Cousin might be the first true center called up this season (Sean Williams can play center, but you know what I'm talking about).

Maybe Spurs will also assign Temple to the D-League. They could end up with a nice team

Right. Forgot about Temple. He and Gee would definitely be the main scorers.

Antonio Daniels? Holy crap.

Squeaky is a guy you wish had just a little bit more. A little more height, a little more little general, a little more something.

Cuz he sure is a guy it would be fun to root for in a Spurs uniform.

Why Thomas Gardner? We already know he sucks. I can understand Cousin and even Palmer, where you don't know what you've got.

NBA draft is Monday at 7 pm ET.
Spurs top two picks are the 14th and the 19th.

BTW, we got the answer of what happens when a player whose NBA rights are owned by a NBA team enter in the D-League with Robert Vaden. The player is put in the pool of players and isn't affiliated to the D-League team linked to the NBA team whose owns his NBA rights. If Spurs want to have Ryan Richards with the Toros this year without Spurs signing him, they will have to use some tricks.

No CJ?

Rumor in Europe is that Jerrells could end up in Partizan Belgrade with James Gist.

The Toros might be able to wait until they are at the top of the list to sign or pick players off waivers, then Richards could sign a D-League contract and the Toros could pick him up. I believe that kind of thing has been done before.

I don't know when Richards will be ready to play after his shoulder surgery. His situation seems also complicate with a contract in Europe while he is in SA doing his rehab. It will be interesting to see how Spurs manage his case given he has clearly stated he didn't want to go back in Europe.

I was also thinking at the trick of waiting to be at the top of the picking list like they did a couple of years ago with Kris Lang (IIRC). I don't know if this trick can still be used.

Another name I've noticed is Cheikh Samb.Samb has an oddly smooth shooting stroke form outside for such a tall player. Excellent shot blocker. Charmin soft inside, though.

If the Toros need another point, I'd look at Wink Adams. He really stepped up for Tulsa in the playoffs when that team was decimated by call-ups of their best players.

Here's a couple of notes I took from a Richards interview:

Suffered injury Feb. 16 in a practice -- after the team had a bad game --on a dunk attempt where the defender tried to block him from behind but ended up locking arms and separating the shoulder. He was told to just rehab it because of age and how clean it came out after seeing 6 or 7 specialists.

Fully fit Jan. 23. Nov. 21 can play and do everything, just no contact for 2 months, then hopefully will get onto the Toros.

1st round: Dominique Archie
2nd round: Lance Thomas
3rd round: Josh Young
4th round: Garrett Williamson

Toros' top 4 picks are all rookies. I guess it show that Toros focus is still to try to develop young players.
They also look very thin at PG. Hopefully, Temple will be sent down to Austin.

Over or under 1% chance these players eventually play for the Spurs?

Over or under 1% chance these players eventually play for the Spurs?Probably under. The only thing I see is Archie could be a bit of a wild card coming off that injury.

I thought Marcus Hubbard didn't make it out of the Toros camp last season. Weird if they drafted him again after that.

Nice pickup in Round 8 if Scooter McFadgon can still play like he did the last time he was in the D-League.

6th round: Vernon Hamilton
7th round: Shagari Alleyne

Why pass over Brandon Wallace twice?

Maybe they fear/think that he will go back in Europe soon.

Aside the wish to develop young players, going with college players limit the risk to see them leaving the team in the middle of the year. Overseas teams rarely spend significant amount of money on college players.

Dominique Archie among the 2010 D-League draftees for the Austin Toros (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/)
by Andrew A. McNeill
48 Minutes of Hell

Separate from the hoopla of Tiago Splitter’s debut (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/tiago-spliiter-san-antonio-spurs-los-angeles-clippers) for the San Antonio Spurs last night against the Los Angeles Clippers (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/san-antonio-spurs-97-los-angeles-clippers-88-gary-neal-bench-key-spurs-victory), San Antonio’s farm team filled out their training camp roster with the NBA D-League Draft.

The Austin Toros had the 14th pick in the first round of the draft and selected small forward Dominique Archie from South Carolina. Via the press release (http://www.nba.com/dleague/austin/toros_select_dominique_archie__2010_11_01.html):
