There might be over 100 points scored in this game tonight.

I have to agree with this. You do start every Colts thread and nobody starts Texans threads so it's logical that you create this one.

tbh Houston wins even bigger this time around. Now they have Mr. "I failed a steroids test cuz I ejaculated too much!" to destroy Peyton.

DeMeco Ryans is gone and Cushing is making the move from OLB to MLB. This is his first game at MLB. That will create some confusion and he will have to make all the defensive calls against the best line of scrimmage play caller in the game. Like I said, if Manning goes under 450 yards I would be surprised.

This would be true if Cushing didn't have great football instincts already. Cushing is already better than DeMeco in pass protection and just as good as him against the run. He called a bunch of plays over at USC, too.

Calling plays against a Pac-10 team is way different than calling plays against Manning.

ah hell, you know what I meant. Cushing already has more INTs than Ryans has had his entire career as a Texan. He also has half as many pass deflections as Ryans has had, in just one year. Cushing has been better in pass coverage than Ryans has. Those skills work better for an MLB. You'll see tonight.

Dr. Gonzo
11-01-2010, 03:17 PM
I just have absolutely zero faith in this defense to stop anyone. They made Matt Cassell look like Joe Theisman. It was pathetic. The offense is going to be there so I can see them pulling a close one out. Especially since the Colts are pretty much playing their entire 2nd string squad because of injuries.

GuerillaBlack
11-01-2010, 03:22 PM
Texans usually get amped up for primetime games though. I think the defense may play like they did in Week 1, but I'm not counting on it.

Hopefully the Texans don't come out and take a shit in the first half like they have been doing all season. We usually come out very strong against Indy, and leave the shit taking for the very last minute. Enough time for Peyton to rape us sideways.

J.T.
11-01-2010, 05:30 PM
Colts ditching their classic Ace formation with Clark out. As soon as I heard about Clark being IRed the first thing I said was they'd have to stop spamming the Ace formation because you can't run it without an elite TE.

I gave the Colts credit. Manning beat the Texans with the backups, but the Texans D didn't do all that bad. Only 10 first half points for the Colts. The Texans O just flat out sucked, in part to Kubiak not calling more run plays.

Foster still is amazing
Texans still have the worst safeties in the league
Pollard looks more like a linebacker and hes SS
Experience is the only deficiency at cornerback
Credit to the indy D pass rush, Dwayne Brown looked terrible coming back from susp. against who else?

Schaub is a tough SOB

Bullshit. On the 1st page of this thread you said Indy had "so many inactives that they're fucked" and would only win if Peyton went over 500 (he didnt even go over 300) and Houston had 3 turnovers (they had 2). Revisionist history is a bitch, but you conclusively fucked up on your pregame take.

How? The Texans D held the Colts to ten first half points. Not their fault the offense keeps going three and out and/or punting the ball (or failing to convert a 3rd and then 4th and 2 at midfield). Really, the Texans should have won this game because the Colts couldn't stop the run. Instead, Kubiak tried to get cute and called a bunch of unnecessary passing plays and the Colts took full advantage. The D-Line of the Colts only had to worry about rushing the passer. The part that was the worst was when the Texans were finally down 14-0 and Kubiak decides to run....Foster went off for a 33 yard gain. Kubiak needs to go for the Texans to be successful. He can assembly a hell of a team talent wise, but can't lead them anywhere. He's a good coordinator though.
