4 games and they're 2-2. Their wins have been unimpressive to say the least.

Got blown out by the Clips and Utah at home.

What say you? Discuss

As others have stated, they overrated...they're middle of the pack at best

Unless I missed them signing a real big man

they were never in the clouds, just because shit simmons and other talking heads decided after a 6 game first round series they are the bees knees doesnt make it so, same kind of thing happened to portland a couple seasons back

I didn't understand the hype they were getting in the off-season, a lot of people felt the same way..it was mostly the media doing the hype, not the fans..

They were the 8th seed last year, despite having pretty much no injuries..they're also going to be targeted this year..they didn't make any significant additions, so I didn't understand the hype..

It was pretty much completely based on Durant dominating International players..

theyll be 2 and 3 after tomorrow night tbh.

ive never understood all the hype, they squeaked into the 8th seed healthy as can be last year while everyone else had injuries.. still no big man and no bench.. at best a 6th seed.

sons they will make the playoffs, but will struggle to get there ... 7th seed at best

Cant wait for the first major injuries to key players so they can show how they "absorb" it.

The two games they won in the playoffs were pretty flukish as well. The league was just trying to keep the playoffs competitive so they gave the West +99 freebies

i like OKC but they dont "scare me" ...people saying 2 seed are crazy. @ seed will be a battle betwen Dallas San antonio Portland and maybe New Orlens a and Jazz.

1. Lakers
2. N.O. Hornets
3. Portland
4. Dallas
5. Golden State (will sweep Dallas out of the 1st round, Deja vu)
6. Denver
7. Oklahoma City
8. San Antonio

8. Thunder

Then the world could finally see CP3 vs. D-Will in the playoffs

If we're subjected to the Lakers walking thru the west again, can we at least have this tbh.

Please let this happen or the version where Utah and NO play ...Dwill vs. Paul would end the debate, no excuses.also any scenario wher we dont play UTAH again in the playoffs I am happy with.

tbh playing Utah has gotten easier in successive years...4-2, 4-1, 4-0

How emasculating would a 1Lakers/8Spurs first round matchup be?

kinda hard for an 8th seed to "come back down to earth"

I'm confident with this Hornets team against the Jazz. CP3's game is complete at this point and I feel he finally has more talent around him compared to D-Will. No excuse losing to the Jazz in a seven game series. Hornets are better in the starting lineup and the bench as well.

Son that would be nice, but the Jazz aren't going to make the playoffs this year UNLESS they make a big trade to land someone who can score 20+ points per game. I think the Jazz will float around the 7-9 spot all year, but fall short with the Thunder and Spurs taking the final two playoff spots.

I still don't think Al Jeff is a fit for Utah. And I'm very good at predicting whether trades are going to fail or not

they never were a great team. most of you are just stupid and gullible motherfuckers who can't think independent of the media.

Son the problem is that 90% of fans (casual or fanatics) follow the lead and believes everything ESPN and other sports media outlets tell them. That is the sole reason why good players like Kobe Bryant is considered one of the greatest of all time. If ESPN says so, then it must be true and for most fans buying into the media hype is a much easier route than actually educating yourself on the game and looking at the stats and the facts.

As a matter of fact... that's the main problem with this country in general, not just with sports. Most people just buy into what the media tells them to or what is trendy.

All this after 5 games? Really?

They played their first playoff series tight and gave the eventual champs a scare. That is akin to when the Tampa Bay Rays made that run to the WS a few years ago and then the pundits said that they'd be the team to 'watch' for years to come because of their youth and talent. The Thunder don't have an offensively-skilled big man that could compliment the scoring ability of Durant. While the Western Conference is slowly dwindling as the so-called 'power' shifts to the Eastern Conference, the Thunder won't be a serious contender without a big that can at least be somewhat dominant inside. Call it the sophomoric slump for the media darling team from OKC.

LOL getting curbstomped by the Clippers, if that doesnt tell you something, then nothing will. KD is a good player but he's easier to shut down then a lot of other stars. He needs to bulk up IMO.

It was pretty much completely based on Durant dominating International players..

The hype is based on the Thunder/Lakers series from last season, in my humble opinion, to be honest.
