OK guys, there is no doubt in my mind that this kid is going to be a Spurs for years to come. He has the mellow attitude off the court and the aggressive play on the court that has long term Spur written all over him. With that said, it is up to us to try and come up with a cool nickname(unless he has one i don't know about) so we could call him like if we grew up with the guy.

Let's do this. Be Creative.

I don't think you can call the guy Big Game James until hes had a few, you know, big games. "Big Shot Bob" was an earned name that came after years of work and exquisite late game icewater shots. If Anderson does some crazy shit then I think you discuss that name.

Humble James is nice though as it already has a base following and seems very appropriate.

I've been calling him Junction James ever since I did a piece on him (http://reigningblack.blogspot.com/2010/09/cowboys-way.html) awhile back. But back in Junction City he's been given the name "Humble," as it's always been the way he was.

I suppose you could go "The Cowboy" or "Cowboy" given his college but as DPG alluded to, his newest nickname is "Father."

Congratulations, Junction/Humble/Cowboy James (Mr.) Anderson! :toast

I'm a fan of Junction James.... and humble James will always be acceptable as that's what his friends and family call him.

However, if I was to add one more to the mix it would simply be "BIG J."
