Dem Pollster: Obama Needs Another Oklahoma City Bombing to Reconnect (http://blog.eyeblast.tv/2010/11/dem-pollster-obama-needs-another-oklahoma-city-bombing-to-reconnect/)

“President Clinton reconnected with Oklahoma. And the President right now he seems removed. And it wasn’t until that speech that he really clicked with the American people. Obama needs a similar kind of, yeah”

Look at what 9/11 did for Bush. Its no secret that when a country is attacked they circle the wagons and support their own.

That being said, no one should wish for anything like that for political gain. If thats what this person mean then they're fucking stupid.

PNAC pre-turn of the 21st century said very similar things using Pearl Harbor as a prop.

An attack on the country excites the locals while (roughly) unifying them behind the political leadership plotting the counterattack. Allegedly.

Well, obviously you don't change horses in midstream. Duhhhh! See: 2004 Presidental Election

Random Dem pollsters wanting a new OKC Bombing is bad, but not as bad as advisors calling for a "new Pearl Harbor." *cough* *cough*

When the U.S. began its attacks on Afghanistan in 2001, to where did al Qaedan Abu Musab al-Zarqawi flee?

When the U.S. began its attacks on Afghanistan in 2001, to where did al Qaedan Abu Musab al-Zarqawi flee?Al Qaeda fled to Pakistan.

Zarqawi went to a Kurd dominated part of Iraq covered by the no fly zone and not controlled by Saddam Hussein.

Zarqawi was not a member of Bin Laden's al Qaeda.
