Any Spurstalkers get it? What do you think. Just wondering if I should save my money and pass on this one.

if you buy tech just to try it out, get it, if you think it is going to add something to your gaming experience and you dont regularly game on nintendo wii dont. If you are on a hot gambling streak and are looking for way to burn the cash, get one, and buy me a new tv

You a big balla Mr. $300,000 a year. That thing to you is equivalent to me giving a few bucks to a homeless guy.

My preorder doesn't come in until Tuesday buy my local best buy had a couple in today so I went ahead and bought it because the in-laws are in town.
I'm very happy with it so far... dance central is awesome... even got the mother-in-law up to dance to funky town... everyone had a great time with that. Kinect sports is okay... have only tried volleyball (fun), table tennis (boring) and track and field (fun and entertaining) so far. Also tried kinect adventures for ~30 minutes and had a blast doing the box breaking game (forget what it's called).
As a game system, I love it much much more than any of the wii games so far. The way you control it is absolutely amazing. It's damn near one to one... the show off and share stuff after a song/game is awesome when it puts your pictures on the screen doing whatever... the controls of the menu are cool. It'll be awesome down the line if/when it automatically signs into your profile when it recognizes you and if/when the voice control works (I haven't taken the time to set it up yet).
So essentially, 2.5 hours in, we've had a blast and it's better than I expected. I could see myself playing it by myself just to get better and practice dancing or something... otherwise it's a party game. I've had many a thoughts already of getting coworker X to play this game or friend Y to dance to this game... etc...

sounds exactly like the review most people would give the first day they got their wii 3 years ago, from the whole family getting involved to planning to use it to better at something, soon it will be collecting dust just like most wii's

good to hear, that is the game I'm most interested in for both the Move and Kinect; so can anyone do a review of the table tennis game for the Kinect.

That's the big difference I'd think with Move/Kinect... something like table tennis would be awesome on Move because of the super precision. The EA Sports tennis game on Wii Motion Plus (grand slam tennis maybe) was absolutely awesome once I figured it out. I'd bet anything similar on the move would be great as well. The kinect is pretty precise for arm/leg placement and where you are relative in the room, but it lacks the ability to detect slight spins and stuff like that for table tennis or bowling. I'll likely never do the bowling on kinect sports and I'll try the table tennis again to see if it gets difficult/better... but otherwise its not geared for something like that. We've played through the kinect adventures a little more and am still enjoying that quite a bit.
I also figured out the whole ID system so when I walk in front of it and wave, it signs me in automatically - that's a nice touch. Haven't tried the voice activation stuff yet. It's just a different experience overall. It is like a new video game system all together.

Got it on release day. Locked up in the closet for my son on Christmas. He wants Kinectimals, but then again he's 5. My wife wants Dance Central. Have yet to see anything that I'd want though. But we'll see...

Was with a coworker at Best Buy at lunch today and he tried the kinect set up in store... it was totally different playing it there than at home. It didn't respond as well, etc. That said, he did jump in and just started playing it mid-game. I'd assume it just wasn't calibrated properly or the lighting/atmosphere threw it off some... don't know. But the moral of the story (post)... gameplay may be totally different at home than what you experience somewhere else.

Everyone I've spoken to who has played around with the Kinect thinks it's tremendous fun.
That said, none of the people I've spoken two who have played around with the Kinect could be referred to as anything close to a "hardcore" gamer.

Son of a monkey!
Bad one, too. Can't even play it off as intentional.
