I need everybody's input.

The lakerstore.com is running a promotion
Lakers Win Streak = Customer Win Streak!
For every consecutive victory our discount to you will increase by 2%.
This discount tops off at 40%. 6th win = 22% discount.

Enter coupon code = UNDEFEATED2010

I want the black banner jacket http://lakersstore.com/content/45698-10-11-court-banner-jacket-black

But how long do I dare wait? 15 wins in a row would = 40% off

Looking at our schedule http://espn.go.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/lal/los-angeles-lakers I don't see any that can beat us in the next 9 games, so should I just wait until the 15 wins in a row or should I make the buy before?

I never look at the extended schedule, but, just gandering at that till I found something for us to worry about it would be after Xmas when we go to visit The Skunker Crew in Texas.

now I'm going back to bed in a minute...long night with another planned tonight...:lol u hear that midget....this is a Pimping Ho's Weekend in Koolaid's World....:lol

but I'll answer your question a different way. I rarely ever make predictions...:lol but I know a cat very educated, world traveler, the fucking King of the Casino's (no really)or should I say King of Predictions...he told me last week that by Jan 2nd the Lakers will be 31-2...and one of those losses won't include the x-mas day showdown either...

Lakers are on pace to break the Bulls record...76 more games before the 3 peat begins...:hat

I just checked our schedule again and since we don't play the Bobcats during that stretch it should be very possible to be unbeaten. :toast

Honest to God, those f'ers in Charlotte. Jesus Christ, it's like life & death for them & Brown when we're around. Afterward, its right back to catatonia & check cashing.

I will say this is probably the first real squad they've played who could really give them problems in Portland.

The Hornets undefeated record > Lakers undefeated record .... better quality wins

Can't wait for game versus Portland

I predict the first loss will be in Denver.

Lakers lose tonight better take your discount and run.

I'm going to guess at Milwaukee. You probably want to take the discount soon though. They're liable to have an off game sooner or later. I'm guessing Milwaukee only because it will be their first long travel night to the Eastern Conference of the season. And it will be a day and a half after running up and down the court with the Suns. Milwaukee has two things that challenge the Lakers, a legitimate low post scoring center and a very quick point guard.

That's just a guess. Wouldn't be surprised if they roll through a bunch more games, and wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers lose against the Blazers or the Nuggets either.

In all honestly, this season has been a snoozefest. The Lakers are playing bored out there giving minimal effort on D. End result? Perfection.

in the western conference the lakers will see no serious challenge, unless some other contender achieves an influential change (like butler + craps for iggy, etc.)

When Morey decides to trade for Melo, Iggy and Bosh they'll be back in the mix.

Lakers are clearly the best team in the West until someone beats them in a 7 game series. No sign of that happening right now.

Lakers will succumb to injuries this season, you heard it here first..I'll make sure of it..

King Paul and the BeeShow would beat the Lakers 4-1 in a series.

Book it.

I'm sure you have a drag outfit lying around. Maybe you can seduce Kobe and let him take you to Colorado?

When Morey decides to trade for Melo, Iggy and Bosh they'll be back in the mix.

morey is brewing such a move, i think. yao is no longer a franchise player he was earlier expected to be. our players are all fine players but none is a true leader that carries his team forward. the 6th to 15th players of our team are better than those of any other team not named Lakers, but the best starting V we have are about the weakest of the league. all we need is trading some depth of our bench for a real leader and we will be contending again. melo is not an ideal team leader but im confident he would propel us into the playoffs at least. Courtney Lee + Aaron Brooks + craps for melo, neither team would be robbed

Your humor is pretty poor when you aren't using your cliche Mavs championship jokes, tbh..stick to your demographic, gray posters..

San antonio is so fucked against LA right now, it's not even funny.

And that's with RJ shooting lights out going 20 PPG @ 65%, in addition to ginobili, parker, duncan playing as they usually play.

Oh well, there's an entire season to improve.

This is just getting ridiculous. The Lakers are just too good. Somebody needs to invent a time machine and fast forward to the year 2038 because a 30 peat is already in order, once we draft Harrison Barnes, get him and Kobe to have buttsex, then draft their son in the future. Just an endless cycle of winning for us.

That's a little generous. I'd say the Spurs are fighting for their lives just to nab a playoff spot at this moment in time, given our atrocious defense.

You can cancel the season after LeBron, Wade, and Bosh develop some chemistry. 30 more games should do.

There is 0 way in hell that Lakers can beat LeBron + Wade in a 7 game series.

Especially when we'll be going hammer & tong with the Celtics when the next 7 game series becomes possible.

You guys will make the playoffs for sure. Nothing has changed in the west. It's the Lakers and then everyone else fighting for second. I'm not sure why anyone would have expected anything else going into the season tbh. I'm not trying to talk shit either. But this has been the status quo the last couple of years and no moves have been made that are going to change that.

It's a legit question.

Thoughts of any welcome

they are ridiculously stacked. it's like watching the rich kid get everything easy and keep on getting more even after he has twice as much as everyone else. boston can stop them, of course, if they are completely healthy. but i doubt that so, it will be up to the questionable heat to do it.

There is never a 100% certainty that a team will win. A myriad of factors have to go a team's way and while they may be the best team on paper or currently or going into the playoffs, the sports world is littered with teams that can't be beaten who are beaten shortly thereafter. LAL bandwagon and fans remember the 5-game sweep to the Detroit Pistons, a team that that they were supposedly pre-ordained to crush.

I will say that for them, they need LESS things to go their way to win another LOB but somewhere out there, a legit challenger will battle. I think it will resemble something like this:

I'm a Laker Lurker.

To beat the Lakers, you have to focus your attack on the bigs. The anchor for the D is interior length. A combination of wings that can drive and get the bigs in foul trouble and big body bangers is the road map to beating the Lakers, I feel.

But if you let the Lakers turn you into a jump shooting team, I don't think you're beating them in a series.

I think the best way for the Heat to be a legit contender is if Lebron gets an effective post game -- Slasher, Post, and girly jump shooting big. It's what the Lakers sorta had in 07-08.

According to Phil Kobe isn't even 100%. And the Lakers are still missing their Championship starting center. Fucked, I tell you. :bking

Eh when the playoffs come this is gonna be their lineup down the stretch of the game. The Lakers have already proved they can win without Bynum.

I think kobe is closer to 100% than most people think too.

There is nothing to calm down about. You are just talking about a team not beaten so far in the season yet. All they have faced is shitty teams and injured teams with the majority of the games being in the Staples Center.

On the other hand, the New Orleans Hornets are also unbeaten against better competition away from home. I don't see as many premature ejaculation threads about the Hornets being unbeatable.

No, LAL Bandwagon fans. That took about 5 seconds to think of. And JJ Hickson? Was that some sort of mild putdown, when you use a term like cunt eyes, it makes it seem like you ain't had pussy until pussy had you.

Perhaps the word MYRIAD threw you off. Look it up.

I'll be laughing real hard when the LAL goes Patriots and ends up short. I'm telling you, there will be no 3-peat. The 5-game sweep is what sportwriters termed the 2004 Finals. It took a miracle Bean 3 to tie it up and send it to overtime for the W, but after that 1 victory...LAL was literally picked apart by Team Pistons.

Hillbilly math or the TRUTH. I think you can fuckin' read Bandwagon Ejaculate lickers.

Although the Lakers were the heavy favorite, the Pistons won the series four games to one to win their first title since 1990. Detroit was so dominant in the series that it came to be known as a "five-game sweep."[1][2][3] Piston point guard Chauncey Billups was named the Most Valuable Player of the series.[4] In winning, the Pistons won their fifth championship (three NBA Championships, two NBL Championships).[5] The series was noted for the perceived underdog, the Pistons, dominating a Laker team that had four future Hall of Famers. The Lakers' collapse resulted in only one of the stars, Kobe Bryant remaining on the team for next season.

Tiger Woods told a good buddy that he needed to go to Zales to get his wife Elin Nordegren a ‘Kobe Special.’
During the conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, “I have to run to Zales to get a ‘Kobe Special.’” The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a “Kobe Special” was. The reply — “A house on a finger.”
Tiger was referencing the massive rock that Kobe Bryant bought for his wife Vanessa Bryant several years ago when Kobe was accused of raping a Colorado woman. Kobe did admit to cheating on his wife with the woman, in a consensual way.

What a year in sports! My National League team, the San Francisco Giants, denied the TexASS Rangers and their clogged artery fans from winning the World Series. Now we have the Lakeshow absolutely rolling, led by God's favorite son Kobe Bryant.

They should just cancel the season, really. I'm a Lakers fan, which means I'm not much of a basketball fan, so why do I want to watch 70 some more meaningless games? As one of Hollywood's top film producers, who rubs elbows with the rich and famous and wheels and deals like a motherfucker, I don't have the time to sit in front of the TV and watch the Lakers beat down some no-name team.

You said you were watching basketball at the time. It made all the media outlets. I mean hell, I saw in the Santa Barbara News Press.

Okay, I'm sorry South Central. I remembered it wrong. It's Inglewood where the issue(s) were.

Arthur Holmes, an officer in the L.A. Police Department's press-relations section, said that fans attending events at the Sports Arena or the Coliseum should arrive early to secure on-site parking.

''Once you park in the back yard of someone's house eight blocks away, all bets are off,'' Holmes said. ''You'll probably be all right, but if a problem happens, it's more liable to happen off (Sports Arena) grounds.''

Within the past year, Lakers guard Sedale Threatt was held up at gunpoint near the Forum after a game and General Manager Jerry West was robbed in the Forum parking lot during the day.

Yes they can be beat but somebody in the NBA...some NBA team has to prove it (Boston, Miami, Orlando, Spurs, Mavs, Thunder, Chicago???) or else the Lakers franchise will have another 3peat in the Kobe era next June. They are quite stacked, I think Boston if healthy will give them a series in the NBA finals if they meet up. Miami will have problems but could potentially get better and surprise the NBA and give the Lakers a series, assuming they can beat Boston, Orlando and Chicago.

As for the regular season, I say they easily win 60+ games and have home court advantage, the Lakers are off to a great start.

Skip: Cure Cancer, only 1 team can sure Cancer and that is MY Spurs led by Tim Duncan. The Lakers have an injury to Bynum and so lack the size to deal with Duncan am I right Dana? The spurs have the talent, the coaching and the moxie to win it all!

Insert Studio guest (usually black): "well Skip I agree the Spurs are tough but what about the Heat Lebron is beasting!!"

Skip: Lehype, is a faux King, and the only beasting he does in the regular season.

Guest: Jay, help me out isnt Skip always hating on Lebron.

Skip: (with his best innocent who, me? smirk) I do not hate Lebron. (proceeds to hate) I want what is best for Lebron. But he needs to stop with the MJ comaprison. Because that is the standard Lebron has set am I wrong? (this is his 10th am I wrong or right in 10 mins.) Lebron wore #23. Lebron copied the chalk move. Lebron got the MJ deal with Nike. And now they build a commercial asking what should I do? Try winning a title a al Mj without Superteaming like MJ did ...

I do find him amusing for a bit, but how a show got built on his ego and haterade is beyond me. I make fun of Lebron and point to holes (post) in his game. But Skip is ridiculous ...

Regular season, Lakers should lose no more than 25, they did that twice and still made the finals in 08 and 10.

So, it comes down to playoffs. Home court advantage, who has it? For what it's worth, Boston didn't seem to care last year, but I think they do this season. Miami has only played 6 games. Any of these 3 teams could win 60+ games.

Out west, New Orleans will go in a slump, eventually, as will the Lakers. The longer they keep winning, the more games they may lose following the streaks. That usually happens.

I hope this post means you're planning on breaking Gasol's knee, since that's pretty much the only chance..if you're planning on it, I'm willing to supply any funds you need, and I'm in full support..

There's also the chance that Kobe goes back to his ball-hogging ways when the "Gasol for MVP" buzz starts. The Lakers would still be ahead of everyone but it would make things a lot more even.

Its pretty crazy what Mitch has done with a team that just went back-2-back.I actually cant wait until the bench comes in now. Last few seasons I would cringe when the starters got their rest because they would always blow leads & play like a bunch of idiots. Now I know that Farmar was the cancer because he never shared the ball, couldnt throw the ball into the post, & didnt know what defense was. If you guys watched the game last night you saw Blake steal the ball & then throw it off the backboard for a Gasol dunk. Well Ear Jordan would of NEVER done that type of shit, he was the opposite of a team player & I'm extremely happy with the guys we have now. Oh & LO on the bench when Bynum returns, that unit is gonna be showtime.

I'm not buying into this 70 win hype,we won what 65 games in 09 and like i believe like 8 of our 17 losses that year were under 4 points. If this team starts off say 25-2 then I think they may have a chance at 70 wins. But it's a long season,

Nobody winning 70 games, the NBA is too deep for teams to play with that type of intensity for a full season. Ill be happy with 60-65 wins & a well rested team going into the playoffs.

All that really matters is that they're the deepest Laker team we've had in the past 4 years. I could care less about having the most wins or any of that other than the possibility of having HCA throughout the playoffs. Staying healthy, getting better as a unit, and tuning-up for the playoffs are all more important in my opinion. The argument of whom is deeper and all that is a waste of time and effort.

Lakers are playing great basketball, actually at its best since 2001-2002. Odom is definitely an All Star, Gasol is racking up MVP numbers and new acquisitions Steve Blake and Matt Barnes are fitting wonderfully well. Even Shannon Brown is playing like its still his contract year but all this on the month of November?

Now, I'm a huge believer that championship teams should start slow. As a matter of fact last year's Lakers exhibited this attitude. They were pacing, just taking notes and making adjustments in the 1st quarter of the season. Now this years Lakers? No, they are putting 100% of their effort blowing teams out and showing other teams off (Steve Blake to Gasol backboard oop, seriously?) This is really unbecoming of a veteran championship team.

I'm going out on a limb here and say that come May and June, this team will be too tired to outrun a team like Miami and Gasol, Odom and will be too exhausted to bang with the Celtics.

The Heat are very cocky. Perhaps they are being humbled early. But the Lakers earned their bragging rights last season. I think Pau is growing into the champion role quite nicely. IMHO, it is all about Bynum's health for the Lakers. The Heat lack depth of size. Period. No amount of firepower from the wings will solve that.

This is the best team ball I've ever seen the Lakers play and that's including Magic / Kareem teams. The 2000-01 Lakers was basically Shaq and Kobe show. This year the wins have been a real team effort and its surprising to me to see the Lakers bench actually executing the offense -- especially when Barnes, Blake and Bratliff are new to the system. I didn't expect it from Barnes.

The Lakers and 72 wins? Phil Jackson isn’t into it. (http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/08/the-lakers-and-72-wins-phil-jackson-isn%e2%80%99t-into-it/)
Kurt Helin

Before the season the talk was about the Heat and 72 wins, with everybody sane saying it wouldn’t happen and wasn’t worth the effort. But that never stops the talk.

But the Lakers? They are off to a 7-0 start. They look deeper, they have a healthy Kobe Bryant and a rested Pau Gasol and an inspired Lamar Odom. And they haven’t even gotten Andrew Bynum in the fold yet.

Why not the Lakers and 72 wins? Because Phil Jackson isn’t convinced these Lakers play good enough defense, for one. Also, he’s been down that road and knows a lot of things have to fall your way. Here is his quote from via the Daily News (http://www.dailynews.com/rss/ci_16552616?source=rss).

“In ’92, after the first championship (with the Bulls), I think we’re 46-3 or 43-6, something like that around the All-Star break,” Jackson recalled. “The owner called me up and said, ‘I hope you’re not trying to win the most games ever won in one season.’

“And I said, ‘Well, we have a lot of depth. We have a young team. I’m not trying to wear them out. We’re just trying to use momentum and win games.’

“That team ended up winning 67 games. They had a little letdown at the end of the season. You get a feel like teams know how to win games and know how to turn it on at the end. They know how to expend the right amount of energy to win a ballgame.

“That really happened with the team in ’95-96. They knew how to blow teams out and put them away in the early part of the second period. Everything kind of fell into place for us, also.

“We went on a long road trip and three of the five teams or eight teams we played on that road trip had injuries to players who were important players. We won seven out of eight games on that road trip. Things like that happened.”

There you go. I’m not going to disagree with Phil Jackson.
