When did Millsap start shooting 3's? He's taken like 20 in the past 4 seasons.

11 in 28 is more impressive tbh because Millsap couldn't shoot threes and suddenly he becomes Jesus Shuttlesworth who can't miss anything

not really. TMAC not only shot, but created his own shots and handled the ball video game style.

Millsapp needs to thank Deron (and the Heat D)in large part.

Deron looked at times like he was going to lose the ball. But that's beside the point

Well... apparently he started shooting them with about 30 seconds to go last night... :lol

The obvious parallel to all of this is the McGrady vs. Spurs meltdown, which has been pointed out about 100 times already. They really are so much alike. Two very good teams up against one another and the game pretty much "won"... but then, all of a sudden, it isn't.

In both situations, if you replayed that ending 100 times the team that was trailing might not prevail a single time. It was that fluky.

Watching both of the endgame sequences, I'd say McGrady's was a little more impressive, but Millsap's all the more improbable given the fact that he doesn't -- can't! -- shoot 3-pointers.

BTW McGrady did his miracle in Dec 2004, the same season the Spurs won it all... worth noting for those who think last night's game exposes some "critical flaw" in the Heat's makeup that ensures they won't win the title this year.

Man the more I watch this the more filthy it gets. Millsap will be showing this one to his grandkids.

Its was Hasslem with the pussy non block out, not Bosh.

Ditto on at least one other of the treys. Hasslem wayy out of position and runs at Milsap far too late.

On the 1st trey it's a defensive switch off and DWade goes completely to sleep. Perhaps his reasoning was "let Milsap shoot the trey" as he was 2-20 careerwise prior. Still some very slacker assed D by players not named Bosh. Bosh did Slack on one of the middle treys.

I would think on the first trey and maybe even the second one as well that Miami thought there was no way Millsap would make it! :lol

If I were Miami and were going to pick someone to take threes, I'd let Millsap shoot it. I might have stressed to my team that someone get within a few feet of him though.

well you never expect the guy who has made a total of 2 3pt shots in his 328 game career to start channeling reggie miller. guarding his drive probably was the better decision than playing him all the way out to the perimeter.

Which is what makes McGrady's performance a notch above Millsap's. McGrady was guarded by the best perimeter defender in the league and being double teamed at the same time. Not to mention, SA was easily the best defensive team during that era.

SA was trying to stop T-mac from shooting the 3s, but the Heat was basically daring Millsap to take those shots. Shows how great the coach is when they leave the hot man wide open.
