The Heat are NOT that talented. They have virtually NO talent outside the big 2.25.

Wade needs the ball in is hands to be Wade.
Bron needs the ball in his hands to be Bron.

Do you think its just coincidence they both haven't put together their "usual" games in the same game this year?

It hasn't happened yet and it will be a RARE occurance when it happens this year. One of them will always be out of rhythm.

Now...if there is some offense that let's you play with 2 basketballs then ye...call out Coach Spo. But he doesn't have many options for an offense right now.

And Bosh...don't get me started. Spo's defense has an incredible undersized center and one of the softest big men in the league at the 4.

Don't blame Spo...he is just playing the cards he was dealt.

Now..could another established coach do more with what Spo has? Maybe...debatable..but maybe. Can the Heat get any coach right now? No.

Do you guys honestly think Riley will be good for the heat? It's already known Wade doesn't want to play for Riley again..and as an extension...Bron and Bosh...

So ye...stop blaming Spo..

Spo doesn't deserve all of the blame or even most of the blame, but he deserves some criticism. Even if he is a defensive minded coach, he has to force his team to learn some kind of halfcourt system other than "give Wade or LeBron the ball in an iso." Implementing a better halfcourt system will help control the tempo of the game when they need to and will help their transition defense.

The players take plenty of the blame because passion and effort should never be questioned no matter how much talent they have, and those things have been questioned in some of these losses. Also, the Heat have good three point shooters even with Miller out in James Jones and Eddie House. Why are LeBron and Wade taking all the three point shots when they're the ones who should be attacking the rim for kickouts to the good three point shooters? That's the whole point in surrounding them with three point shooters.

Riley takes blame because that center position is a gaping hole in their defense. Kerr and Marv in this Lakers/Nuggets game made mention about how teams like the Celtics and Lakers have a nice balance of players who complement each other. The Heat don't necessarily have that. Wade and LeBron are a lot alike and they don't have enough balance defensively. I will say with the restrictions financially, it's hard to fill all the holes because the priority was to get the talent of LeBron and Bosh first. So in upcoming seasons, the secondary role players can be upgraded and will be more of a focus for personnel changes.

Still think it's too early to say either way whether the Heat will be legit contenders. I think they have too much talent at the top end of the roster to count them out just yet.
