Any team, though, you take their second best player (and he's basically 1A at this point), if he has an off night, obviously it's going to make it that much more difficult to win. Particularly when your fourth best player, who happens to share a lot of the same responsibilities as your second best player, is out and on top of that, you're playing a playoff caliber team on the road.

The Lakers were just due, though. Due for a bad shooting night, due for Gasol to not play like an MVP candidate and just plain old due for a loss. I thought they'd lose this game beforehand.

You have to watch the games not look at the stat sheets to really know what is going on. If you had actually watched the game there's no way you would say Pau played well despite have a large height advantage on everyone who defended him last night.
