:wow Impressive.
At one point in the third quarter, Kevin Love leaned over to Michael Beasley on the bench and whispered in his ear.
“I’m going for 30 tonight,” Love said.
With Love having only seven points at the time, Beasley looked at him and said, “Thirty what?”
Incredibly, Love was talking about rebounds.
...“I just got a good mindset that every single one was mine,” said Love.
...“It seemed like no matter what anybody did I was going to go and get those rebounds. I don’t know what to tell you,” Love said sheepishly. “I impressed myself. I don’t even know what to say to be honest with you.”
...“It’s amazing,” Beasley said. “Every rebound came off the guy. Twenty and 20 is one thing. But 30 and 30?”
...“Kevin had an incredible game,” coach Kurt Rambis said. “Those numbers are just stupid. I don’t even know what to say.”
...“It’s definitely tough,” Stoudemire said. “But this just goes on my shoulders. I take this loss on me. I got in foul trouble. Once I got in foul trouble, they took advantage of that.”

“It’s definitely tough,” Stoudemire said. “But this just goes on my vagina. I take this loss on me. Im a soft pussy. Once I got in foul trouble, they took advantage of that.”

Kevin Love is a great great player, and very underrated. Unnoticed by many. That's a shame.

Knows how to use his height and knows how to box-out. A rebounding machine, I wonder if DeJuan Blair is also a 6'10" like him. :o

Son that is mainly due to his skin color to be honest. I'm not saying its right, but that's just how it is. In the NBA and at the collegiate level (more so NBA) American born white folk have to jump through hoops to really stand out to the coaches, scouts, etc.. Most American born white folk are automatically labeled as soft and or injury prone since the NBA is a street/hood game.

Cubs: There's no freaking way. What would we trade to get him? Grant Hill's corpse? HeBlow Turkoglu's corpse? Channing Frye's corpse? Josh Childress' bloated contract? ...

I saw the notation over at your place a month or so ago. He'd work well here.
You guys got out from under Marbury. Anything is possible.

Love puts Timberwolves on the map (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-lovesboards)
By Jon Krawczynski
Kevin Love has accomplished a seemingly impossible feat— putting the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves in the national spotlight.
Love’s historic 31-point, 31-rebound effort in a come-from-behind win over the New York Knicks on Friday night made the Timberwolves a hot topic on national sports shows, talk radio and the Internet for the first time in years.
He became the first player to post a 30-30 game since Moses Malone in 1982, more than six years before Love was even born. The monster night vaulted him into the NBA lead with 14.6 rebounds per game.
After the game, Love already had more than 70 text messages congratulating him, and word quickly spread through the NBA about his big night. LeBron James, Manu Ginobili and Rudy Gay were among the many stars to congratulate Love on Twitter.

Funny that his minutes had been limited due to inconsistent effort. I guess he got the message.

I guess if there were ever a stupid GM in the league, it's David Kahn. You never know. Or maybe we could swing something with the morons up in NYK or the chimps who run the Clippers. At least there are still a few atrocious GM/owners out there beyond our own.
