What does the "Vbookie cash" thing mean?

I'm sure others could post a more informative answer, but it's "make believe" money that you can bet on "things" determined by TimVP and the other mods. Things like how many games it will take the Spurs to win aganst Phoenix, How many minutes Manu will play, who will win the Indy 500, etc. Check the vbookie tab in the title bar and you'll see "bets" you can place wagers on.

Every day we (timvp or I) put up some threads that include bets. It can be on Spurs games, or whatever. (Look in the NBA forum and you'll see what I mean -- the threads are marked as vBookie). Everyone on the forum starts out with $500 vBookie dollars. You can make bets on any of threads we post. At the end of the day we pay the bets out, anything you win is added to your total. It's just for fun and bragging rights.

If you run out of "money", you get $25 more vbookie dollars.

Look in the Spurs forum in a few minutes, they'll be one on the tomorrow's Spurs game that you can bet on.

Actually, I went down to $25, then built over $10K. Then I went back down to $25 (damn NFL season) and now I've built back up again.
