His pick and roll D is awesome thanks to his quick lateral movement.

I'm more annoyed at his lack of touches in the post. He may not be a scoring machine, but his footwork is the best on the team behind Duncan. Give the man his shots!

There's not any part of his game that I don't like. If this is how good he is five games in with no training camp and out of shape, the season looks pretty damn bright.

Tiago defense is already good and will only get better

I agree, the 3s and long 2s will stop raining someday, the team must be prepared to feed the bigs.

his defense seem to be improving game by game but needs to start taking shots and make some baskets because the schedule is not going to get any easier

yeah that was really pissing me off, neal bonner gee and others totally neglecting the most talented guy on the court! no doubt that if they would have fed him time and time again he would have had alot more points off of fouls and post shots. seems like those morons kept clouding around splitter when he got the ball as well so he had no room to work or even get the ball. really frustrating to watch :bang

oh and P.S bonners defense sucks just as bad as ever it hasnt skipped a beat

As I said in the game thread, I absolutely love how Splitter alters and contests all the shots that come into the paint, along with his awesome Pick-N-Roll D. The way he quickly moves his feet, doesn't reach in and always puts his long arms up while keeping his body and feet set makes it very hard for a ref to just bail the guy out and call a foul on Splitter. Plus Splitter is beautiful at anticipating the ball handler's next move and taking charges.

Plus, Splitter is real great and setting picks for anyone at anytime. It seems he has the Spurs system down. I just wish he gets a few more touches in the paint. I mean I know he isn't Timmy down there, but the guy can get the ball in the bucket a bit, so give him a chance. I was very disappointed to see Neal and Gee taking a bunch of shots in the 4th when Splitter was in the game, but oh well.

But I'm glad to see Splitter get more minutes this game, but isn't it great that no one played over just 28 minutes tonight? And Duncan played only 24. Glad to see that we can put a game out of reach when we need to rest our best players for a back-to-back.

But I look forward to see Splitter progress even more. I still kind of hope he makes the Starting Lineup soon, because Blair is better off the Bench. But I just worry that our Bench doesn't turn to complete shit if that happens, since Anderson is also gone for a while too. But I think Hill and Blair should be able to lead the Bench well, especially since they have both have been starters already in their careers. And it seems Hill is getting out of his slump that he was having early in Pre-Season and early in the Season.

Overall, I am very happy with the Spurs and Splitter and I very much look forward to the future and progress of both. Here's to yet another great Spurs Season. :toast

I love this guy. If he continues to get comfortable in our offense I could see him playing 25 minutes a game by the ASB and being a HUGE piece to our playoff run. He is a very cerebral guy with a lot of athleticism.

He's smart. He's sucked out some offensive fouls that were very crafty plays. I thought he did a great job on Blake Griffin on the defensive end (last game, of course). He still needs some time to work into the defensive schemes here, but he's going to be our best non-Duncan big since David retired.

It will be interesting to see if he starts tomorrow night. OKC is starting two C's. They're putting up good numbers, but not great numbers. But with one 7-footer and one 6'10" guy on the floor, Blair is going to have his hands full. It looks like a good time for an experiment to me.

Blair should be able to muscle-up the bigs for OKC. Blair will definitely start and when he losses his starting job it will probably be to Dice. Splitter will not be able to play a lot of minutes with Duncan until he has more mpg. We need Splitter or Duncan on the court at all times.

Although I'm not surprised and think that this will continue to be one of the better shooting teams in the league, both from the field and from three, I agree.

I'm fine with Parker and Ginobili and to a lesser extent, Jefferson shouldering the load offensively a lot of the time, but at the same time, they can't forget about Duncan down low. At some point, the team will become so used to being perimeter oriented with their offense, that that will just be what they are. Like the Celtics the past two seasons. Preserving him for the long haul is one thing, minimizing him is another. I wouldn't mind them throwing it into Splitter in the post occasionally, either.

I wish I could've seen more of his offensive moves during garbage time, but scrubs just kept jacking up shots.

The rotation for the OKC should remain the same even though its a back to back since most of the starters played so few minutes against philly. I would expect manu however to play more minutes as the back up sf during this game and Hill to run alot at the SG. Gee should not play much unless there is foul trouble or its a blow out.

If you look at Splitters stats for the first 5 stats, they have been improved more and more 4 out of 5 of the games. Tiago is already a fucking beast, and I think he is going to be a big role on the Spurs.
