Any 24 fans? What do you think is in store for next season now that Jack Bauer is "dead"?
Will he become super clandestine man and track down the crazy white girl who has been hell bent on fucking over America since season 1? Or will Edgar Stiles be the new Jack? :lol

I'm intrigued by the possibility of a "covert" Jack Bauer.
They really need to get rid of the romantic subplots though. I don't have the ratings, but I highly doubt there are many women watching the show. The only romance I want to see would involve Chloe and Edgar suddenly eloping and leaving CTU (and the show) for good.

Ha... agreed. Hopefully the rediculous factor gets turned down next season as does the desire for Fox to find any stupid reason they can to squeeze a cameo by an old character in.
Maybe they'll just turn it into another primetime soap opera (see: the OC) and we will follow Jack's relationship troubles in Baja California. Kim Bauer will return as a washed up gutter whore daughter mooching off her dad and getting laid by local cabana boys. Austrialian chick (in real life, not in the show) from season 2 will return with a surprise... she has twin babies... and they are Jack's!

I thought the ending was alright.
The whole Chinese consolate thing was BS.
Great show, but at times, they got a little stupid.
Or will Edgar Stiles be the new Jack
is edgar the fat computer guy??
If so, they played the pick on him part wayyy too freakin much.

Wait... I've never watched a 24 episode, so fill me in here, Jack is played by Sutherland, correct?
So if he dies, doesn't that end 24 all together?

************Spoiler warning for those that tivod it*********
Fake death.
It doesn't end 24 altogether, it just changes it. They've already set up plenty of people to take over his role. Tony and Curtis, mainly. But yeah...he didn't die.
I didn't like how the missle storyline ended so abruptly. It encompassed the story for the past few weeks, and then boom it's over, onto the Chinese.

Man, this is the one show that I wish I could watch each week. I can't sit there at a specific time and I have yet to get TIVO.
Thankfully, Blockbuster Online is shipping me the first seasons. I'll be up to speed eventually.
I really got into the first season, but with the monkeys at Fox pre-empting the show continously for either MLB, "When bears crap in the woods", and other tripe I lost interest and didn't watch it at all this season.
I am looking forward to the return of "The 4400" on USA starting next month. Hopefully they'll rerun last season mini series so I can catch up on the story lines.

well the series started in january 1369, so I dont see how that got preempted by baseball.
24 comes back in January.
Cant wait to see what they do.

Previous seasons had very long breaks in the middle for football, American Idol, and other FOX crap, but this year they started in January so it could be on every week.

I think the franchise is spinning off Jack Bauer. There will be a new hero saving the world on "24", airing on FOX, meanwhile Kiefer Sutherland will star in the new telenovela "Veinticuatro" on Telemundo.

Damn, it took Manny 6 months to watch a couple of DVDs and remember about this thread and bump it. That is impressive.

Season 2 was probably the best.
Season 3 is when they introduce Chloe.........

I started watching during the previous season, never got to see the first ones. It started as my uncle having me record them because he was at work and couldn't set the timer and I started watching it. It's like my favorite show now.

The pace is just addictive. No show (that I've ever seen) moves as quickly as 24. The first couple of minutes get you caught up on what's going on, and then it's rollin', and it doesn't stop until xx:59:59...
In my opinion, it's the best show on TV.
Ever.
