I'm pretty sure no one forgot, or will ever forget. Kobe has a distinctively negative reputation.

I can't imagine what his teammates were thinking. 33 seconds left, down by 6, and immediately following the inbounds pass, Kobe chucks up a 35-foot 3-pointer. Unbelievable.

Sometimes you eat the bear (those 7 last second game winners Kobe hit last season which enabled us to fly two charters out of MA., before 6 & 7.)

You people constantly remind us that Bryant is flawed and imperfect. Then when he confirms it, you remind us that Bryant is flawed and imperfect.

Cubby, this isn't about him being flawed and imperfect. Obviously, everyone has their flaws. Look at my posts, where I've defended Kobe time and time again. I'm not hating on him, but he should be sent to the tree of woe for shooting such a shot. That play actually reminds me of this one tbh

The shot was certainly in Kobe's range. As Cully stated above, live by the sword, die by it.

30-35 seconds on the clock is definetly the time frame for 2 for 1 scenarios. Being down 6 predicates going for 3's. Though the shot was a terrible one, the reasoning for taking it was sound basketball.

With starting center Andrew Bynum (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=2748) out of the lineup all season while recovering from offseason right knee surgery, there was an opening in the rotation for Ratliff to relieve Pau Gasol (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=996) and Odom from playing heavy minutes, but the 15-year veteran's knee tendinitis limited him from logging major minutes.

Funny that people are comparing what Kobe did to what MJ would do, since I just happened to be watching the end of Game 3 of the 1993 Finals on Youtube earlier this evening. Now I am no fan of Kobe obviously, but guess what, Jordan took the exact same shot with 23 seconds left and down by 8 in Game 3 of the Finals. Check it out at the 1:50 mark:

The '93 Finals were not Jordan's finest hour. Westphal had devised some nice strategy there. KJ was able to thwart MJ's impact to an extent. MJ was not comfortable in that Finals.
