The iggles are puting on a clinic. You guys made fun of the cowboys, they had many excuses (Wade, Jessica...) what are yours?

MVP Vick just doing work

I really believe the cowboys are in better shape than the skins. For my FF experiment, I need the skins to score, I'm going against the Iggles D. I think that the skins don't even put 28pts in practice.

I've been saying the Redskins are horrible for weeks, I honestly have no idea how they're a .500 team(well, they won't be after tonight)..

With that being said, Philly is the best team in the NFC right now..that dog killing pussy is just straight dominant..

Not so fast, it looks like your guys haven't given up after all. They still have some pride, so my bad, you're still in better shape than the cowboys

In any event, 2 TDs now - one more stop and score and you have a game.

I didn't get to watch the first quarter but two things:

Vick is just that good

This Redskins team is really really inconsistent. They're not nearly as talented as the Cowboys, for one. But they've found ways to win a lot of games they probably should have lost so far this season. They're a work in progress but if they can compete for the rest of the game and make it close then I'll actually be OK with whatever happens.

Vick is playing out of his mind right now, that's making it harder. Kolb is Reid's guy, but you have to go with Vick, the he's been playing

I have him. 45 points or so points so far but I'm still down since the rest of my team laid an egg. I guess I have a chance though.

HarlemHeat37
11-15-2010, 10:12 PM
Vick didn't get hosed for shit..he's a POS that deserved the time he got..hopefully his career is over soon, messed up knee or something..I got love for him tonight though, since I needed 37 points to win my fantasy matchup, and he got it for me:lol..

I needed 37 from Vick, Maclin and McCoy..I thought it would go down to the wire, but Vick got it for me all by himself:lol..

DisgruntledLionFan#54,927
11-15-2010, 10:13 PM
Dude has 330+ yards in the first 28 minutes of play.

Hey Mike, you've proved me wrong. Too bad you've missed a few games or you'd be the clear frontrunner for MVP.

MannyIsGod
11-15-2010, 10:14 PM
Yeah Vick didn't get hosed at all. That being said everything I read is that he took it to heart and learned from it. You give a guy with Vicks talents a head on his shoulders and the result is the best player in the NFL.

HarlemHeat37
11-15-2010, 10:16 PM
He definitely learned from it, I give him respect for that..a lot of people need difficult events in life to realize their potential, I've seen it many times involving people I know, and it appears that Vick is somebody that needed that..

There's a good chance he wins MVP, even with the missed games IMO..who else could win it?..maybe Manning, maybe Rivers if San Diego starts winning..I don't know, Vick has a pretty good chance IMO..it would be a good rehabilitation story for the NFL too..

That's where I draw the line, but maybe it's because I'm not into FF. I sat Ben this sunday, and I sat Rivers when NE played SD (I'm in 2 leagues lol)

DisgruntledLionFan#54,927
11-15-2010, 10:18 PM
He has to stay healthy the rest of the season. He isn't going to win MVP by playing in 8 or 9 full games.

HarlemHeat37
11-15-2010, 10:19 PM
I picked up Vick in all 3 of my pools, but I traded him earlier in the year for Antonio Gates, because I needed a TE, and my other QB is Drew Brees..I'm kind of regretting it now, even though it was a logical trade at the time..

I picked up Tamme 2 weeks ago, and now I'm trying to trade Gates, so it sucks how it worked out..

HarlemHeat37
11-15-2010, 10:19 PM
Do you think 13 games would be enough?..

Ya, after thinking about it, it probably will look bad when he's going up against other QBs that played 16 games..still, nobody has really stood out for me so far from an MVP standpoint..Clay Matthews comes to mind, but I doubt they give it to a defensive player..

DisgruntledLionFan#54,927
11-15-2010, 10:20 PM

I'd take a Redskins win over Vick doing well anyday but that doesn't mean I'm going to play a bad player just because.

HarlemHeat37
11-15-2010, 10:26 PM
I actually always play fantasy players that are playing against my team..it's a win-win situation IMO..I don't cheer for them..if they play poorly, then that means my team probably has a good chance of winning the game..if they play well, at least I got something out of them beating my team..

I played Dwyane Bowe yesterday, and I received the best possible outcome..Denver won, yet Bowe managed to get 180 yards and 2 TDs(or something close)..

IMO, he's the frontrunner for MVP right now, regardless of the missed time. The Eagles were supossed to be in a transition year and they look like superbowl candidates thanks to Vick. He has single handedly turn an entire franchise's season around, if that's not MVP worthy I don't know what is.

It'll only be his fourth complete game of the year.

You aren't going to come close to winning MVP by finishing that percentage of games.

Sorry.

I'm a Vick fan since his Atlanta days, so I know how erratic he can be sometimes, that's why I'm still expecting him to cool off, but if it's true that his jail time helped him to realize that he had to put up the work to succeed in the NFL and this allows him to play at this current level consistently, then he will become unstoppable.

Snap, 51-45 playoff game last year. 96 is the number to beat.

I know people are going to call me a homer, but I don't think this game was as bad as it seems. Vick basically exploded all over the 'skins in Q1 but in Q2 McNabb brought them back. The hole was just too big for them to make it a game and the complete lack of any running game due to the deficit just makes it worse.

Hopefully the Skins can bounce back next week. Vick is a fucking beast. Glad thats the last time they see him this season. Jesus.

The only thing worse than watching an epic ass-kicking is watching one in a cold drizzle.

Dan Synder's timing is awesome. Not that last night's performance was McNabb's fault, but signing him to a huge contract when his long-term future with Shanahan is most questionable, and then having this game as a followup?

Not only that, but I'm beginning to wonder if his talent for picking up guys whose best days are behind them now extends to coaches.

Can't really hate on a high-volume between-the-tackles runner who finally reaches his shelf life.

The guy I'm ready to dump is Santana Moss. Dude has always been #2/#3 receiver talent at best who gets treated like a #1, and is personally responsible for 4-5 interceptions a year.

My appreciation for London Fletcher, however, grows every week. He deserves better.

MannyIsGod
12-01-2010, 05:39 PM
Its not hating on Portis its the frustration of never seeing him play a healthy season. It will be interesting to see if they draft a RB high in the next draft or if they focus on line help.

London Fletcher is great. I'm a big fan of Armstrong now as well. Great story. The Skins need some offensive play makers for sure at this point. I think the defense will be fine.

Isn't Shanahan notorious for making no-names HBs overachieve? I doubt he drafts a RB high in the draft. The O-line is a bigger need IMO.
