It's one thing to say while it's another thing to do. Obama expects everything to go well as he plans, and I really hope he can do exactly what he has promised. However, we shouldn't have been buried in such problems had we got that amount of money, the problem we are facing is just caused by our lack of money. Man, we used to be the most wealthy nation in the world and had stored tons of gold in the cellar underground Manhattan, the gold is still there and well guarded but our cash is just short from need. We have spent so much money on those fucking wars against Afghanistan and Iraq' former goverments but we have gotten nothing valuable in return but endless chaos and troubles. It was reasonable to dash Afghanistan in order to deminish the masion of Taliban and Al Quada, but why the F did we fight Iraq's former government? Who the F induced our senate and congress to permit launching the war? I'm not blaming former president bush but I think there should still be someone or some groupe to take resposibility for our depression. The war demolished a fucking dictatorship government and set the Iraqis free sequently, we heavily damaged the terrorism while harming ourselves even harder. I mean it doesn't cost so much money to fight the terrorists only, Uncle Sam has spent much more money in Iraq since the War offcially ended than he had spent during the entire war period. -(On the Spurs summer league team) The summer league team hasn't exactly shaped up like we wanted it to. We had a lot of guys get injured who we were hoping to get a good look at this summer. But the guys who are here are playing hard and play well together.

-(On Garrett Temple) Garrett got hurt on the first night and is now on crutches. James Gist, who drafted a couple years ago, broke his hand. James Anderson, our draft pick this year, has had hamstring issues so we wanted to keep him out to get him healthy.

-(On what the Spurs need to add to the roster) We've added Tiago Splitter to our program this summer and he's a guy we've wanted for a while. And we're excited to have him. But we need to improve our shooting. Over the last four or five years we've lost Robert Horry, Brent Barry, Michael Finley and Roger Mason didn't have as good of year this year as he did in the past. So we've really gotta improve on our shooting -- that was always one of our pluses and now it hasn't been in the last couple of years.

-(On Splitter) He's not our shooter, for sure. He's had a terrific career overseas and has been one of the better players in Spain and in Euroleague for the last five years. -(On if there is a shift of power after the player movement this summer) Obviously, Phoenix losing Stoudemire is not going to be helpful. A lot of the players stayed East who were free agents. But they all did a good job of rebuilding their group. Houston has gotten better -- and they were outside the playoffs this year. The Clippers with a healthy Blake Griffin and the good, young pieces that they are going to add -- they are going to be better. Utah, even with Boozer going, picking up Al Jefferson -- there's no reason to think that a Jerry Sloan team is ever going to take a step backwards. Oklahoma City will be a lot better. Dallas has done a terrific job. Memphis has gotten better. Life is never easy in the West.

-(On getting George Hill late in the first round) We gotta get fortunate and try to rebuild with our draft pieces. Having DeJuan fall to 37, getting George where he got him, getting Manu and Tony where we did in the second round and late in the first round ten years ago -- those are the cornerstone pieces of our franchise through their own personal development and the character they bring. You've gotta get lucky but you also gotta get the right people to build going forward.

-(On what the Spurs saw in DeJuan Blair) I guess we didn't let our doctors get involved in the process. It was strictly a risk-reward play. I think the medical history and all that is very important as you evaluate talent, but there's also a time and place where you have to say he's played since he was a sophomore in high school without ACLs. His body has adapted. He may not have a 20-year career even though he's coming into the league as a 20-year-old, but for what he can give us right now, that's a productive investment in a second round draft pick.

-(More on Blair) On a basketball perspective, there were no questions on what his talent level was. Once the injury issue came up, it was just a matter of how you were going to mitigate the risk. We were fortunate that people were looking at their risk platform a little differently.
