Phoenix Suns to sign center Earl Barron

The Suns are expected to sign veteran center Earl Barron after learning that starting center Robin Lopez will miss several weeks because of a left knee sprain.

Barron, 29, is a 7-foot, 250-pound veteran who played 82 games (2005-08) with Miami, and seven games last season with New York.

Jason Thompson is available. Doubt it would cost more than Clark/Lawal and a 1st.

Unfortunately, I think he's probably better than Garret Siler, our only backup C.
