Hope to see a great match! :tu

I say Argentina 2-0 Brazil :stirpot:

Hopefully we start playing as well as we look on paper and win this one. That is unless our collective nuts don't shrivel up in the process as usual...

Brazil looking good early. Maybe thats just because I've watched a lot of MLS lately and this is so much better. :lol

Brazil playing quite a bit better than Argentina so far. We just can't seem to solidify our midfield.

Don't, it wasn't a great match. Pretty boring except for a few chances by Brazil and a couple by Argentina (mainly Messi). The only goal scored was at the 92nd minute.

IMO both teams played poorly. I still think this Argentina would have tons of trouble dealing with a team like Germany.

That's why Messi is the best, nobody else can do what he did in that goal, not Xavi, not Ronaldo, not Iniesta, not anybody. And he won us a game that really should have been a tie.

The goal. Look at that challenge from the Brazilian number 5, he went straight at the leg, not the ball, and to think some stupid people here in Argentina say that Messi shines in Europe 'cause the defense isn't as tight as in South America, and that he doesn't get hit.

P/S: I just heard on the TV that Argentina has a 34-33 edge over Brazil in personal encounters, I find that hard to bealive. Does somebody has the official info? I can't find it.

I think it may be true...I saw that it was virtually even on wikipedia when I noticed this a while back.

After verifying now, it appears to be true:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentina_and_Brazil_football_rivalry

Games:90
Argentina:34
Brazil:33
Draws:23

But, if you notice on the page, it includes all sorts of matches, such as U-20 and U-17 world cups.
