I know very few of you guys here so I thought I'd share a little something about me. Most of you have probably guessed that I'm a Texan living in Brazil temporarily. I run an import/export company and some retail businesses in Brazil. I know a few people here and there when not playing sports myself, I'm a huge Spurs and general basketball fan.

I read in the Express New today about how Benetton Treviso is a top rival of Manu's old Italian club, Virtus Bologna. Mike D'Antoni was the head coach of Benetton for years and a superstar player there, which is celebrating its 50th year annniversary. Impressive history!

The connection is that I'm a friendly acquaintance of the head of scouting of both clubs, and today I spoke with Massimo Biasim, in charge of Benetton. He knows I'm a San Antonio guy although I'm living in Brazil presently, so he mentioned his great relationship with Mike D'Antoni, and I reminded Massimo that he's buddies with Danny Ferry so he needs to keep his allegiance with the Spurs...Massimo reminded me that Manu was an enemy of his club when Manu played in Italy! :lol

Damn, I guess Massimo is pulling for Phoenix after all!

Anyway, Benneton is recruiting one of my closest buddies in Brazil, whom I also represent. We're due for a visit to Italy in June where Valtinho will demo for a few clubs. Meanwhile I'll be translating, going on long distance runs, enjoying the awesome Italian cuisine:

Valtinho

My boy has mad game and can flat attack the rim through any defense. He's also a career 39% three point shooter and drops dimes like Jason Williams less the turnovers.

But could he open Italian water bottles on his own? :lol

^Didn't get that, although I've been to Italy a few times. Would he need a bottle opener or something?

On the press conference after game 1, he couldn't open a water bottle, so someone had to help him.
