Pop had a chance to clarify the situation and chose to keep the situation unclear. This sounds more like doghouse than injury but who knows?

Splitter reminds me of Manu in his rookie year.
Not the same type of player-but you can tell right away that he is a player. He makes things happen when he is on the court. If the spurs have a chance for number five-Pop will need to get out of his comfort zone a bit and just let Tiago play as much as he can.
The more time that Tiago plays the better he will be in the playoffs. The better the defense will be.
If Pop can somehow balance the Bonner/Tiago minutes to where they both benefit-and the team benefits then Pop should be coach of the year.
If Pop gives Bonner too much trust---AT THE EXPENSE- of Splitter...then it's bad news all around.

So much for the notion of Splitter being hurt.

If he was hurt against Utah, that was a damn fast recovery...

Nothing wrong with Splitter thank God.

If he was hurt against Utah, that was a damn fast recovery...What if he was just recovering and they were just playing it safe?
What if he had some soreness in his previously injured leg?
I'm not saying any of these definitely happened, but most here are saying it's impossible.

Only if you start the thread that Dice is faking fatigue and begged out of tonight's game.

I wouldn't say impossible, but I would say unlikely.
Teams do report injuries before games, including the Spurs. If I had to guess I would go with the report, which read he didn't play because of a coach's decision, not an injury.
I won't tell you you're wrong though.

In the comments posted earlier by Duncan228, Pop seemed very terse in his response on why Splitter hasn't played. While any of those possible injury scenarios could be possible, it would be out of character for Pop to pull a Bill Belechick and not disclose it. Obviously, he doesn't owe the public anything, but he certainly would have nothing to gain or lose by not disclosing details on an injury to one of his key players.

BTW not to take anything away from Tiago, who played a great game, but this was the Cavs. Maybe that's the plan for the first half of the season: give him burn against mediocre teams. It's not a bad plan, but time will tell. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play against Orlando but comes back against the Wolves.

Did you ask Pop or Splitter?I see you didn't read the rest of the post. That's why I put it in the form of questions and didn't make the definitive statements common in these threads.

I won't tell you you're wrong though.Hey, it could be that he was available to play if needed -- he was suited up after all -- but with Bonner back they didn't need to push it. I don't think that situation is always reported.

I know why you did what you did. What you're missing is that this thread is entirely speculative. We're not Pop, we don't know what's going on in his head, and we obviously don't know if there was something else.
You think he was injured? Good for you. Other people speculated he wasn't hurt and then tried to speculate what Pop was thinking.
Futile? Sure. Time killer between games? Absolutely.

Maybe. Maybe not. I don't think we'll ever know. So, what the point on dwelling on it? Just take a pick and roll with it if you want to make an argument. That's what most everyone else did in this thread.

Is tonight enough for everyone to STFU for the time being? Notice I said for the time being. Splitter had a hell of a game. Makes me feel emotions I have not felt since I divorced my wife. Complete bliss for me tonight. :)

What if Bonner loving aliens abducted Splitter and removed his plantaris muscle? Not saying it defenitely happened, but you just can't rule it out.
