Really. I said it then, and I've said it every season since. If a big man has one leg longer than the other, that's a HUGE red flag. Especially for one who relies on his athleticism the way Oden did.

Sucks for Oden.

what do you expect when you draft a 62 year old man to be your star rookie.

would you all consider oden a bust?

is it possible 5 years down the road he will be a great player?
what do you do if your portland?trade him, release him or keep him.

Are you still asshurt over getting owned that one thread way back? :lmao

Dude, nobody at all says Oden>Durant, all we fucking said was that AT THE TIME OF THE DRAFT 95% of people would have taken Oden. Which is absolutely true. Pretty much every team in the league AT THE TIME would have taken Oden if they had the #1 pick.

He'll be a RFA and I think we have to match whatever contract he's offered if it's not outlandish. He's only 22 years old.

Mutombo once lied about his age

would you all consider oden a bust?

Yes, but it's not his fault.

No. He's toast.

Release him, he's a free agent at the end of the year. He gets healthy elsewhere, so be it. Cut your losses and move on.

He has to be able to play to get better in 5 years first.

All kidding aside the guy is loaded with talent imo but he just does not have a durable body for professional sports. Such a waste. I hope for the best for him and still do hope he can continue a good career.

Some players just don't got the body to do it. Sam Bowie says hi.

not sure if this is true

Personally, I was one of the KD #1 guys. I was surprised to see Portland pass on another sure fire superstar in favor of a big man.

oh, and oden will be fine for the rest of his life.

how many millions of dollars has he already collected?

depending on how smart he is with his finances and business decisions, he never has to work hard again in his life.

Durant wont win a titles for OKC anyways, so moot point. You win in this league with bigs.

from portland's stand point they are fucked either way.
you let him go and he becomes like a grant hill player for another team and doing well
you keep him and he sucks for another 5 years.

damn sucks to be portland although they have a decent team without him.

you know what

maybe this will influence the Blazers to pass on a big man next time and go for the superstar wing...

only then to see the big man go on to become an All-Star and the wing be a bust.
:lol
