i see no one had the balls to ask parker about his divorce, even implicitly like "how did you feel coming into this game?"

They probably knew he would not even answer and walk away from the interview. They were most likely told prior that they will not be able to ask those questions if they want to interview him.

They are told the rules before even getting into the lockeroom. They didn't want this to be the last time they were allowed in.

On the contrary, I'd say all of those reporters showed a tremendous amount of respect by avoiding the Tony-Eva controversy.

"After the game, a team official told reporters that he would cut off access to Parker if anyone asked him personal questions."

That answer your question? The Spurs organization arent idiots, they know TP's private life is his private life and basketball is his job, and they wanted to keep things professional.

just takes a little creativity in phrasing the question. of course i knew the reporters weren't allowed to ask directly.

That drive from Manu where he got the ball caught on his back ont he behind the back move and dunk was awesome... i dont know if he ment it or not but to be able to adjust either way was awesome.

And Derrick Rose has been on a tear this season.. if he continues to play like this.. scoring and getting his team mates involved... the Bulls will be scary good when they get Boozer. I didnt think he would be a PG who would average more than 7-8 assists a game being that he isnt really a natural passer.. but hes at around 10 a game so far.

Spurs.com release.

Tony Parker Issues Statement (http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/tony_parker_statement_101117.html)

Earlier today Tony Parker and Eva Longoria issued a statement regarding their pending divorce. Tony Parker and Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich both made statements prior to Wednesday's game with the Chicago Bulls.

Tony Parker

“It's a difficult time for me and Eva. We have issued our joint statement. Everything else is our private life.”

“I'm having great support from my teammates and coaches. I am focused 100 percent on the Spurs and trying to win basketball games.”

Head Coach Gregg Popovich

“This a difficult situation for everyone, obviously, but Eva and Tony are two people we love and care about. We wish them both the best as they move through this.”

Agreed. I think he fumbled/got the ball tangled up behind his back, or at least it appeared that way, and it was impressive how he still managed to finish the with an aggressive slam.

2nd half of the Manu interview got interesting...the reporter mentioned how for the past 3 games they have been played very well in the 3rd quarter. Manu was only aware that this was true for tonights game vs. Chicago, and then Manu brought up that a couple of years ago they were usually terrible in 3rd quarters, and that it's only 3 games but theye'll see if this develops into a trend...
