I'm pretty sure the Spurs didn't do anything. They weren't that kind of team and didn't really have an enforcer that would lay a player out in retaliation.

How the hell did he kick him? I know how Bruce did it, he got a running start and got all Bruce Lee.

I also remember when Shaq came up to Robinson and elbowed him in the back or at least I remmeber it being an elbow but it could have been a push, it's been so long. I was so pissed I almost lost my TV that day. Hey, I was alot younger then.

This just reminded me of it.

Growing up as a kid I fucking hated the Utah Jazz more than any other team, mainly because of Malone. He was such a dirty ass POS. I was always so pissed that they knocked us out year after year in the Playoffs. I'm glad Jordan stuck it to him 2 years in a row and the asshole left the game ringless..:tu :lol

Malone and his faggity sketchers can fuck off. I hate that guy, was blatantly dirty and got away with it. Im glad he never got a ring, and made it all the Finals by front running and lost.

I hate how that SportsCentury youtube clip celebrates his dirty play. With the whole "that was just his game" excuse.

Shaq, Paul, Ray Allen, KG, Terry, and all the other "Spur fan villans" have nothing on Malone. That guy was a peice of shit.

Dammit, those vids brought a LOT of hate back for me--damn I wanted to rip Malone's head off.

Remember the Delta Center!

I watched it yesterday, if it's the same stuff?

Game four of the WCSF 1999 - shaq came behind DRob and elbowed him in the back. Dave turned around and hit him [more like a push] in the chest and Shaq got lazy eye. End of story.

Karma.

I really don't understand how the league let Malone get away with what they did for so long. He assaulted three players, DRob, Isaiah, and Donyell Marshall, and they all wound up in the hospital; DRob with his concussion, Isaiah with about 50-60 stiches inside and out, and Marshall with broken ribs.

I dont think Malone set out to hurt guys, DR included. He was always a hardass and I would have loved to have had him on our team.

I would only watch the spurs when I was growing up and I remember exactly where I was and how I felt when Robinson got knocked out by that piece of shit. A great player yes but you can just see that by him throwing around those elbows were intended with the sole purpose of hurting someone. Dirty ass moves and I'm glad he never won a title.

Who was it that threw something dirty at Avery back in the day? He then went out of character and like rushed at the person. I want to say Nash, but I'm not sure. I remember Avery's post conference where he said something like "I will not be manhandled". Anyone find a reference for this?

I hate Malone for life and not just because of that, he played for the Jazz and Lakers and thats enough for me. I hated the Jazz in the 90's.

I remember he and Van Exel (Lakers) got into it at the Dome.

I still remember 99 playoffs when Brian Grant stepped up to Malone and he was scared to death lol, he was shook.

Well isn't it poetic justice that a Spur very quickly replaced him in the discussion of best power forward of all time? KM is a dirty, pedo piece of shit.

My most fond early memory of the Duncan years is how Tim just totally shifted the Jazz from our nemisis to a team we owned.

David Robinson will always be my favorite professional athlete. After seeing that dirty SOB Karl get away with so much crap against David for all those years, there was nothing as rewarding as seeing Tim Duncan just own him.

Even in '98, when the Jazz knocked us out of the playoffs in five, you could already see Malone couldnt handle Tim. Duncan was bigger, quicker, more fundamentally sound, and didn't let Karl's dirty play fluster him in the slightest. Karl pulled the same crap against Tim that he had on the Spurs for years. Tim would just stay stoic, and put up 30+ points on him. Until last year, the Jazz were never really an issue again.

I already hated the Jazz. But after that, my hate for Malone went to another level.

After watching us get 4 titles and Robinson retiring with his second one, watching Malone ride his brokeback horse into the sunset with no rings, I can honestly say some of my hate for him has turned into pitty, which for a guy like that might be a bigger slap in the face.

It's gotta be tough to praise yourself too much in your HOF induction speech Malone, knowing you never got it done!

That carried over to the 2000 playoffs as well. Brian Grant was the only player I've ever seen that could intimidate Malone in the paint and throw his game off.

I respectfully disagree. Try to "accidentally" swing your elbow to hit a guy 4 inches taller than you in the temple hard enough to knock him out. You can't do it casually or inadvertantly. The Isaiah thing was on purpose, too. The bad blood between MJ and Isaiah led to him not being selected for the Dream Team and Stockton being selected instead. Zeke went out and lit his ass up for 40+, and the next time out, Malone clocked him for embarrassing his little butt buddy.

Can you imagine if BRUCE BOWEN would have been built like Karl Malone, the damage he could have done!

It was Nash. IIRC, it was in the first round of the 97-98 playoffs against Phoenix. Nash was a nobody back then.

None at all, troll, none at all. Bruce played D either with his hands down at his sides to show he wasn't shoving, or extended straight up.

The Spurs have the best record in the league, Duncan just overtook two team records, our offense looks the best it has in years...and you want to watch D-Rob get knocked out by Malone? Okay.

This!

It's disturbing how my hatred for this hideous little team has softened in the past 10 years.
