son I love it. many will hate and say that the Hornets could have or should have gotten more, but those are just couch coaches and GM's who are confused with reality and NBA2K. Its Peja ... we weren't going to land ANY superstar players for him. Really this trade was good for numerous reasons ...

1. Unloads a ridiculous expiring contract for 2 low end expiring contracts. Trading Peja before the deadline this season has been 2 or 3 years in the making.

2. Jack is a close, personal friend of King Paul. New ownership is doing everything they can to keep the King happy.

3. Peja has only played in 6 games so far this season and only 14mpg in those games. He played well in Dallas, but he is too much of a defensive liability and you never know when his offensive game will be "on". Monty Williams preaches defense and Peja just simply doesn't fit.

4. Bayless has been OK at best for us at the backup PG position, but has turned the ball over way too much and has shown poor shot selection choices. Jack is putting up nearly 3 times as many points as Bayless and plays better defense.

sons in reality this trade was all about Bayless and Jack ... Peja was going regardless and the other two were just thrown into the mix.

The game winner at Phoenix was awesome. A perfect finish to an unbelievable game.

This trade is pretty awesome for the hornets, BR, do you think they'll be able to hang onto CP because of this? I'm hoping so, and I hope he's telling melo all about it so he stays in Denver.

...not that he's doing shit for us right now.

son new ownership and the new GM and Coach have proven that they are committed to winning and building defensively strong teams. All sources that I have who work within the team say that Paul is happy and wants to stay here. My personal opinion is that if the Hornets continue to play well and build solid teams then yes he will stay. However no one truly knows.

anything is possible, but I highly doubt it. no offense, but at this point I wouldn't want Melo ... now before the season started of course I would, but this team is focused on defense and Melo knows absolutely nothing about that. Its the reason why Marcus Thornton is having trouble fitting in now. Sure he is an outstanding scorer off the bench, but he doesn't play defense and Monty won't have it.

I'm gonna miss Predrag and the Peja On A Stick heads at all of the home games. =( I hate how he got banished to worthless Toronto, but let's hope they trade him to a contender before the deadline.

So, in other words, you didn't get shit. For 16 fucking million dollars all you got was Jack. We got Pau for much less, and all you could muster up for Paul was fucking Jack...:p:

We already did our Pau trade with the Julian for Marco deal! :downspin:

son the Hornets are going to offer both Paul and West extensions this off season ... if Paul doesn't accept the extension then I may entertain your offer, but you will need to offer more.
