Matt F'in Bonner......

Not Captain Jack?

Not Robert Horry?

But Matt F'in Bonner......

:rolleyes

Explains a lot of what we've seen over the past few years.

Makes you wonder if Pop says that crap on purpose because he knows people are upset with his overplaying of Bonner. Bonner has been shooting well recently, but Tiago still needs to be in the game damn-it.

Maybe Pop meant in Practice.

I'm sure that if the question had been "Who is the most clutch shooter you have ever coached" the answer would have been different.

There have been a number of Spurs on Pop's teams over the years who were arguably better shooters than Bonner. The ones you named don't belong on the list.

Question: Are you superstitious in anyway? If so, how?

Gregg Popovich: Absolutely not, in no way whatsoever. It's a waste of time.

Pop giving some actual straight-forward answers. Nice read.

Don't know why he wouldn't say Steve Kerr was the best shooter he ever had. Was that boy ever pure. Maybe Bonner's size gives him some advantage in Pop's mind, easier to get his shot off than Kerr.

Great job on the mailbag. Pop actually seems to try to answer these questions rather than try to escape the questions like he does with reporters.

Bonner can shoot - why the hell are you guys surprised? Its not like he got asked who is the clutchest player you've coached or who is the best rebounder.

Regular season or Playoffs? Bonner Regular Season, Kerr Playoffs.

Steve Kerr's career numbers with the Spurs
Regular Season FG% 41.78 3-PT % 39.42
Playoffs............FG% 40.91 3-PT % 38.24

Matt Bonner's career numbers with the Spurs
Regular Season FG% 45.88 3-PT % 40.74
Playoffs............FG% 36.36 3-PT % 31.82

Bonner sort of deserves a nod with his current percentage. Throwing a bone to a current player who relies on confidence is just a smart thing to do.

That's hilarious.... it's unfortunate that unlike here, Pop can't speak in blue... LOL!!!

He has such a dry humor :-). Such sarcasm.

Yep, it's not like Kerr's feelings are going to be hurt.
