I don't remember the last time seeing a game in November with a playoff atmosphere. Now, it IS ONLY NOVEMBER, yeah I know... but I just got back from describing the best Spurs game I've seen in a long time to some friends.

How could I make the game sound good? Hm. I immediately went to the end of the third quarter where Ginobili had those turnovers. Do you guys remember the last time a Spurs game had those little heartaches during a game? haha. But in the fourth quarter is where Manu redeemed himself. That just shows the heart he has. Most players would take the frustation in the whole arena affect their game but he felt bad he made those costly turnovers and wanted to make up for it.

He had that four-point play and then an and-1 later in that fourth quarter to ultimately lead the Spurs to a 106-97 victory. That's something I wanna see in the Finals. "The Spurs are boring" mentality is as old as... hm.. the Spurs (another overrused description).

The drive to five will be memorable to say the least. You just know the Lakers are in our way. That's pretty much a fact. I'm interested to see their game next month. I hope Pop uses Tiago soon. It would be nice to have him play a good portion of minutes against LA. I'd be happy with 20 minutes of Splitter.

It's early, but you get a sense that Tim might be going after more than just one trophy with the way things are looking. His last couple of years will surely be interesting to watch.

I remember I had a similar feeling in 08/09 when the Spurs beat the Celtics in Boston ...
But this time around, the Spurs have a team that has the potential to be better than that two years ago.

I can smell a championship. If Spurs keep getting work done, and winning important regular season games, I can see them doing great in the playoffs. :)
