Didn't see a thread about this but I just saw it this afternoon. Excellent movie and if you wait for DVD make sure you watch it with a good home theater system. The sound was amazing and really adds to the movie.

It had a ridiculous premise, but it managed to be entertaining anyway.

most of Tony Scott's films (Ridley's brother) are entertaining especially those with Denzel (Man on Fire anyone?)

Pelham was meh. I actually thought this was going to be a lot like that but I saw good reviews and had some time to kill before I caught MY TRAIN so I figured I'd see if it was good. Well worth the ticket.

So what Tony Scott/Denzel Washington train-centric movie is next?

Probably a remake of Silver Streak.

With Will Ferrell in the Gene Wilder role.

Oh, and if you never saw the original Taking of Pelham One Two Three, you really should.

I can't stand Tony Scott's directing style so I probably won't watch it, even if it's good.

Is it better than Money Train?

Ditto. Tony Scott is an instant deterrent for me.

I probably will see it at some point, though, because I like Washington, Pine, and Dawson.

It was a very entertaining movie and I didn't pay much attention to the directing. Action movie is what it is.
