I don't know what Stern is thinking but he's not helping the NBA by having two shitty games on Thanksgiving night. I know that most people will be watching football, hanging with the family, or going to the movies but some people in America like to watch basketball on Thanksgiving night.
Anyways, the doubleheader on Thursday for TNT this week is probably one of the worst in recent years. The first game is the Wizards at Atlanta. The second game is the Kings at the Staples Center against LA's other team(the Clippers).
The doubleheader for ESPN on Friday is on the same level of quality as TNT's doubleheader. The first game is the Rockets at Charlotte. The second game gets even better with the Warriors playing the Grizz in Memphis. Awesome games!
So which doubleheader is worse? And what does this say about upper management of the NBA? They want the NBA to be popular and make money yet they put these shitty games on national tv.

I think the Thanksgiving games will be competitive. Not the best teams, but they are evenly matched and ultimately fun to watch. Those games on Friday are horrible. Charlotte does not deserve to be anywhere near the national schedule, Houston is just above Charlotte in that regard. Warriors-Grizz? Warriors-Grizz?

Maybe the good teams were asked if they wanted to play on Thanksgiving and said no. It's a different story when it's Christmas day.

ESPN's is way worse. Tyreke Evans, John Wall, Blake Griffin, and Eric Gordon can at least put on a show. There's no excuse for Rockets vs Bobcats to ever be on national tv. Ooh, can't wait to see that Diaw/Scola matchup.

I won't be watching any of those four games, which is fine by me.

Thankfully the Saints are playing tomorrow and there is some good college football games on Friday with Alabama at Auburn, Arizona at Oregon, and Boise St at Nevada.

Its weird they wouldn't telecast the Hornets at Portland Friday night. It's not a great matchup but still better than what ESPN has.

This. NBA gets Christmas, but Thanksgiving is football time. Why schedule big time matchups when they're just going to get overshadowed by a combination of tradition and food comas?

TNT is one of the worst I've seen to date, they usually carry quality games.

I'll probably watch the Griz/Warriors game. I haven't seen either of those teams play this year.
