and Ginobili keeps doing what he's doing, will he at least be in the MVP discussion?

TP is paying great, no question, but Manu's the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of the game and he's also got stats that are arguably better than his.

Nope..you can easily make the argument that Parker has been just as good, if not better..Spurs are too balanced..

Also, I hope Manu isn't still doing this by the end of the year, that would mean he's playing too many minutes..

Dwight Howard is a near lock for MVP IMO..

Man that would be damn awesome. If he ends up being being the best player on the best team then he should. I mean that's usually the criteria right? I'll admit Ginobili is one of my favorite players along with really obvious choices in Duncan, Parker, Robinson, and Michael Jordan. So I am biased of course. He might not be one of the hip choices like Bryant, Bron, Wade, Durant, Howard and the like.

+1.

You can take Kobe, and Manu, even Durant off their respective teams and they'd survive.

Dwight is their anchor on offense and defense. Take him out and the magic are a lottery team.

There's an article on ESPN making a case for Parker to be MVP.

Turthfully, I don't think Manu or Tony, for that matter, gives a fuck about whether or not they merit MVP votes. This is a team game and they know that if this team is balanced, then...this team is DEADLY. :flag:

Howard's had better years. He's the sexy pick this year and everyone's going to repeat it even if someone else has a better year. For some reason it happens all the time with MVP. That's how Steve Nash won two of them that he didn't deserve.

I'd equate this team to the '04 or '05 Pistons.... no superstar, just a real well-balanced and solid team

Ducks is like Manu, one of the thoughest competitors on this board, heŽll never give up. That guy must really love Manu.

This doesnt quite make sense to me.
Take away Kobe and the Lakers will most likely make the PO's but as a low seed. Take away Gino and the same can be said of the Spurs IMO. Take away Durant & the Thunder wont be in the PO's. Take away Dwight and the Magic will still be in the PO's in the East.

And....No. Gino will not and most likely should not win MVP. Allstar? Definitely.

Agree w/ the magic, but the thunder just reeled off 3 straight impressive victories minus Durant so I'm not sold on that one.

Should the Spurs finish at the top of the standings, Manu and Tony will likely split the "Spurs" vote. The same will probably happen to Kobe and Pau for the "Lakers" vote. And James and Wade if Miami were ever to right their ship and get on a roll. (Looking unlikely).

Howard, Paul and maybe (just maybe) Rondo are the favorites I'd bet
