Gasol, Paul and Dirk are the most legit names right now with Howard, Rondo, and an improving Durant on the bubble.

Durant is struggling a little, but he will be in the discussion by the end of the season. He has to deal with the pressure of the media labeling him and teams are gunning for him this year.

Squeezing his eyes shut and hoping that it'll go away and things can be like they were won't work. The rank & file have made an adjustment to him. It's incumbent upon him now to exact the readjustment.

Chop, chop.

Dirk's as good a choice as any at this point since Chris Paul has slowed down recently. I'd say Dwight Howard is the only other guy I'd probably give consideration over Dirk right now but the Magic haven't really beaten anyone yet. Dirk's a good pick right now. But it's a long season.

Durant is actually on the decline. I gave you a chance to make a case for why you love to hug his nuts, and you failed by obsessing over Kobe. Go back up stairs.

Durants PER the last 10 games trails only Love and Gasol in the league, and he is shooting 46% over those games and leads the league in scoring on a team off to a fine start. Boy this young classy guy is really a dissapointment!

I do not obsess over Kobe but he is somewhat struggling offensively for the year with about a 42% shooting average and his PER badly trails his own teammate Gasol. Kobe is a superstar and one of the top ten ever but this year he is not the MVP of even his own team. (Just like Manu is the MVP this year, as he showed again today, and not Duncan, despite his fine game today, but I can live with that.)

Dirk Nowitzki posted a game high +28 while on the court Saturday. With Dirk on the floor, Dallas shot 50.7%; without Dirk the Mavericks were outscored 28-11 and shot only 27.8% from the field. Entering Saturday Dallas was +12.9 per 48 minutes with Dirk on the court and an astounding -25.1 per 48 minutes without him on the floor
