One of the fundamental difference between the United States of America and our civilizational enemies is the lengths to which they will go to take a life versus the lengths to which we will go to save one.

U.S. strategy for treating troops wounded in Afghanistan, Iraq: Keep them moving (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/27/AR2010112702875.html?sid=ST2010102907422)

In any U.S. hospital, Solorzano would be considered too sick to put on an elevator and take to the CT-scan suite. Now he's about to fly across half of Asia and most of Europe.

The fundamental difference is that

The American War Civilization invaded their countries and caused 100s of 1000s of deaths, and millions of injuries

compared with countries or anybody else who DIDN'T INVADE AMERICA, or even threaten, or damage America.
