Because after waiting nearly three years for this guy to don a Spurs uniform, it's frustrating to see a solid post player wallow on the bench while Matt Bonner (once again) steals his minutes due an early season shooting spree.

We've seen this movie before. Bonner is not going to shoot 50% from three all season, and he sure as shit isn't going to do it in the playoffs. At that point, it would be nice to have a conditioned and seasoned Splitter ready to play.

The November Championship is great and all, but an actual ring would be even better.
