Did you catch his FX series? Louie basically does every creative job in the production, so it's about as pure as a comedian's sitcom could be.

:tu Thanks, yea I watched the entire season on Netflix like 3 weeks ago. Loved the episode with Matthew Broderick :lol

Looking forward to the next season. Has it already started?

I missed him in Austin. I wanted to go see him, but wasn't able to. If he ever comes to SA, I'll surely be there.

Yes on his latest series there's an episode where he has a flashback to his childhood and his dad was talking to him with a heavy accent. The accent didn't "match" Louis' red hair (;)), so I looked up his bio; don't remember what it said about his mom, but his dad is Mexican and apparently Louis spent his childhood in Mexico City with Spanish as his first language.

Saw one of his standups and didn't like it. Maybe he has changed, but I thought he used expletives as a crutch.

My favorite comedian right now is Lewis Black. Seen him twice.

Its funny when you can go through a thread and see someone post something then later in the thread they post something contradictory then you quote each post without comment. It's not as funny when they are in the same post.

It could be because I have not given him much of a chance. I don't have the time and interest to really look for more of his shit. My first impression of him was not very good so I have not paid too much attention to his career. The one expletive filled bit I saw him in was just not that funny to me.

Yeah, an excerpt of a standup isn't very indicative of the comedian's work as a whole. You should try and be open minded and give something an honest chance before making an opinion.

I have heard he is very funny, so maybe one of these day I will give him honest chance.
