Pau is playing a ridiculous amount of minutes recently... which is probbably why his shooting has been Kobesque the past 2 or 3 games. A healthy Bynum is obviously extremely important... but really the Lakers go as Gasol goes. Its no coincidence the Lakers struggles have matched Pau's offensive struggles.

Gasol leads the Lakers in adjusted defensive +/- this year:lol..the Lakers D is 9 points better when he's on the floor..maybe he would look better if Fisher and Kobe weren't such terrible defenders this year..it's tough to anchor a D when your perimeter defenders are mediocre, unless you're Dwight Howard..
Anyways, I agree with Blessings here, and I said it before the season..the Lakers won with minimal contributions from Bynum the last few years, but they will need him to have a bigger role on both ends this year..even on offense, since Kobe's decline is evident..
LA has been one of the worst teams in the NBA at defending the paint this year, obviously Bynum will solve that..every team needs their role players like Bynum..if he's injured again, they aren't going to win the West..

Don't know how anyone can give Pau shit for a 5-13 15/14/4/1/4 stat line when Kobe's 9-25 23/15/2/1/0 Game 7 stat line was defended.

if odom still plays good the lakers would be fine. lakers played most of their games w/o during their 1st championship run in 09' playoffs and they finally won it, and they didn't have such legit supports that time, like Artest, Brown, etc....

Considering their playoff statistics from the last few years I'd say the opposite is obviously true.
gasol as "soft" as he may be is tall, talented and best of all smart. not a feature than most C have. you guy have to stop bitching about him.
you're not gonna get a better C than knows where to be in the court next to a ballhog like kobe.
lay him off man
he's not particulary strong but i'd not rate him as soft

Conflicted, huh?
Your Fandom got themselves in dutch with this Pau Gasol business. Don't worry, you don't have to suffer him. You can just stand over there not b2b'ing.

Pau is soft. Don't be dumb. Even Laker fans, Phil Jackson and Jerry West himself have labeled that bitch as soft.
Notice how Kobe babbies Pau while actually treating Bynum like an adult he respects despite all their history.
Pau has been completely overrated by the anti-Kobe crowd. The fact that Kobe Bryant won a back to back with that raging pussy just adds to his legacy. Thankfully Bynum has suited up these last three playoff runs.

Bynum has averaged like 6 points and 5 rebounds in the playoffs and he's the one carrying Pau to titles?
Oh, brother.

Would gladly take Marc Gasol back and 10 million in cap space that would go towards a point guard next season. And two first rounders. :lol

Dirk will be joining Duncan's club soon enough.
What Bynum gives you defensively is more than Dirk could ever hope of giving his team one-dimensionally through continuous jump shooting.
