16 and 10 tonight on near 50% shooting with a couple of steals... and only TWO FOULS! :clap

I realize it was against GS, but he looked pretty solid tonight and actually hustled for boards.

Can't believe he still shot almost 50%. He missed alot of gimmies. Once those put backs and layups start going down consistantly, he'll avg at least 5 more pts a game.

Currently 9th in the NBA with 16.0 rebounds per 48 so the Blair haters have had no basis to say he's been sucking all season long.

However yes good to see him cut down on the fouls and take shots more in his comfort zone. I think his early season chucking was an overeaction to Popped and all of us wanting to see more O out of him.

He played great. Awesome rebounder, and one of the best Spurs at creating turnovers. I'd much much rather see Blair on the floor than Bonner.

He had a Meh game IMO.

Good stats but played atrocious defense.

Blair was fantastic at both ends againt the Lakers. After Pop took him out after the first 4 minutes of the game, DeJuan went ballistic.

Blair is awesome...I still remember watching Pitt in NCAA tourney and telling my friend that Blair was a beast....The Spurs would never get him because he would be a top 10 player.....

Wow...

Funny how his arms seem to be long enough now to play with a tall NBA frontline. Maybe he hit a growth spurt. Or maybe that standing reach thing actually carries some weight.

I'm still seeing some boneheaded plays from him. I didn't like it. Even though you're up 19 there's still 6 minutes left and Kobe was starting to heat up.

He really needs to work on his focus. He appears to lose it too easily.

15 and 17 against the Lakers frontcourt...'nuff said...

He got abused in the first quarter and then came back beasting...what a tough guy he is. Very, very good game but still a couple of really bad plays trying do do too much on O instead of passing the ball.

I still think the Laker and (when Perkins gets back) Celtic frontcourts are the absolute worst matchups in the league for him. Mad props to him for tonight, but I think that the odds of him going 17 and 15 against the Lakers again are about equal to the odds of Tim going for 2 and 4 again.

No doubt. As fun as this win was tonight, I just hope Blair can be "solid" if we get into a series with the Lakers. Solid Blair is still pretty damn positive. Invisible Blair makes me wish he gets traded.

I agree with you.

But isn't it strange that two of DeJuan's very best games have come against Boston last season and this LA game just passed?

I like how he didn't just settle behind Gasol. He used his strength to keep Gasol from establishing good position and then used his quickness to get around and deflect and steal the ball. It's smart play because once Gasol catches it against Blair, his strength and speed mean little and his height gets exposed.

It's risky and likely to backfire but if he can make it work, he can be effective against LA, like today.

Bumping this thread al-freaking-ready. One quarter in and Blair is dominating.

Not a big front court. Blair does well against OKC. Well is an understatement.
