It's halftime at the UEFA Champions League Final match and the Italians are already up 3-0.
Paolo Maldini scored within a minute from a freekick playing in his 149th European match for AC Milan and at the end of the half Crespo (the Argentinian striker for Milan) did like Manu and displayed his pure class scoring 2 of which the second one was a brilliant shift over the Red's goalie.

On to the 2nd half!

GO ROSSI NERI!

Indeed, what a week for Argentinian Sportsmen. Manu, Roland Garros and now Crespo.

Liverpool looks lost, like they already gave up. If they don't get their act together after half time this could end with a tennis score.

I hope Milan will just continue to play like they are capable of and not lean back and do what they actualy do best: Play Defense.

Nice to have this communication with you at the half MMLH!
Of course you do know that there are also 2 dutch guys playing for Milan right now!

Liverpool scored again! Smicer with a screamer, but Dida could have stopped the shot!

3-2 with more than 30 minutes to play.

Dida saved the penalty but Xavi Alonso scored in the rebound. 3-3, and the game starts all over again.

3-3, Liverpool scored 3 goals in 15 minutes, so much for a defensive minded team...

Hahahaha that's ok!
I am comfortable with the underdog winning it.

Wow, what a historic match!
From this day on people all over the world playing soccer and being down at the half will say "Remember The Reds".

Loved the clown play of Dudek on the line.
Know him well as he played in the Dutch league for Feijenoord Rotterdam a couple of seasons. He got bad press all season long and even his own coach wasn't too happy about him. Now he got his revenge being the man of the match.

I was very amazed though that he was allowed to get off the line and move forward.
Must be a new rule that he may do that as soon as the penalty kicker makes his approach?

Anywayz, what a great evening for soccer this is.

In taking their fifth European title, and their first for 21 years, the English club joined Real Madrid CF, Milan themselves, FC Bayern München and AFC Ajax in being awarded the trophy to keep.

I do feel very bad for the tifosi in Italy though.
But hey, they know they will be back soon and it's not like they never win anything.

How about Liverpool's coach by the way?
He lead Valencia to the UEFA Cup last season and now this!
Yet another great storyline.

Just four words for this game:

"YOU NEVER WALK ALONE"

:elephant

P.S.
I'll go hide from N.Y. Johnny now....
