It's because they KNOW him. Massachussets wouldn't vote for Kerry either, but, hey...they don't put handles on the Republican selectors in the poll, in Massachussets.

I have an uncle and aunt that are from North Carolina, and they said Edwards rep. there is a joke.

My aunt's comment was something like "that slick little city lawyer better get himself a VP job, because if not he'll never win another election in this state."
