The bottom line: After waiting decades, Fed critic Ron Paul is in line to chair the House's monetary policy subcommittee.

Not a snowball's chance in Hell.

I would be highly surprised if the pro-business leadership would let anybody who might fuck with the banking system anywhere near the chairmanship.

tell them you called or spoke with your own congressperson, and that his decisions affect everyone in the nation.

I wouldn't want Mr. Paul anywhere near that chairmanship either, but it would overall be a good thing for Democrats, so by all means, let him get it.

So? They've already tricked you into allying with them to get your vote. It's not Boehner's fault there are a LOT of dumb Tea Partiers.

Mission Accomplished.

good for democrats > good for america

Is low reading comprehension your schtick or did you ignore the first half of my sentence entirely?

For the good of the country as I see it, I would not want Mr. Paul to be chairman of that committee. This places the good of the country ahead of that of the Democratic party.

But, if the GOP allows it, I would not be all that sad at the trainwreck that would entail for the GOP.

Paul is too radical for him to be given real power, even if I agree with a couple of his ideas.
