If he does not leave he will be asked to, the guy is a write-off.

He needs the money, so unless someone else wants to pay him he's probably gonna keep dominating those Euro scrubs to the tune of 12ppg.

"Iverson who earned over $200 million in salary and endorsements throughout his NBA career is said to currently have a personal net worth of only $15 to $20 million with an unknown, but rumored to be substantial amount of debt"

that is stupid. just a misunderstanding.

there was news that iverson wants to leave basketball (retire) after besiktas career. a foreign news bulletin translated it wrong as iverson wants to leave besiktas.

this misunderstanding is just because of translation.

i am galatasaray supporter not beşiktaş, but i am happy that we have chance to follow iverson closely.

so he just went to turkey to end his career and no other intentions?

iverson is done. career-wise and money-wise. that's why he went to turkey.

Allen Iverson says he’s happy in Turkey (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-besiktas-iverson)

Former NBA star Allen Iverson says he’s happy with his new career in Turkey.

Iverson has addressed rumors he wants out, telling his followers on Twitter that “I am very happy here in Istanbul. My family and I are making this our home.”

The 11-time NBA All-Star says fans and teammates at Besiktas are “great” and he’s building “good chemistry” with both.

Iverson added: “For those of you who really care about me just know this, I am very pleased and enjoying this ride.”

Iverson, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2001, agreed to a $4 million, two-year deal with Besiktas after no NBA team offered him a contract.

Iverson’s start in Turkey has been mixed. He’s averaging 9.6 points and 3.6 assists after five games.

If he were able to swallow his pride, accept a smaller role, and not fall in love with every shot he sees then he might be worth a damn. But right now hes just a washed up, selfish, undersized scorer thats lost his edge. Nobody wants that on their team.

I think his a agent is the idiot, a good agent would of sold him on his name alone.

He probably went into meeting demanding minutes and how many shots etc etc.. Iverson is done but a good agent could of saved him.

Iverson can run the point guard position, he will need to only handle the ball and distribute, WTF going to Turkey, talk about having no pride or diginity.
