True
No matter what he has become, his MVP season is one of the best I've ever seen

I miss the NBA on NBC...as well as AI's old shoes.

One good game and then 4 straight losses to a backdoor sweep.
AI is one of the worst things to ever happen to the NBA. The league shutting the doors on this loser is a gift from the gods!

Right now to mention the fact he single handedly carried that team to the finals on his back

In one of the shittiest conferences of all time with one of the best defensive anchors that ever lived.

No denying his game but the dude had more drama than a full year of all of my children episodes.

Shaq should have won MVP that year.

Agreed.
Alen Iverson was extremely talented but he was overrated like almost no other player in the history of the game.

Let's see..
Blazers: talented, but went downhill after the All-star weekend
Kings: with Williams as a PG, they were not a contender
Spurs: well, they were a good team without Anderson, but they were much better with him
Also, the Sixers were playing banged up during the EC playoffs

The West had eight 50 teams that year, which was a NBA record at the time I believe. The Kings and Spurs would have dumped on the Sixers in the finals.

They were a top 5 defensive/rebounding team. Both of which you can't really credit Iverson for.
