Considering shows I've seen personally:
I don't even listen heavily to any of these people, but during the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake, I saw a show comprised of Talib Kweli, Common, Mos Def, The Roots, Erykah Badu and several lessers. They played for like 5 hours and it was a fucking insane show by all measures.

Cake in Houston, a week after 9/11, pretty emotional, caught a drumstick
Motorhead/Dio/Iron Maiden in San Antonio, for obvious reasons
Ozzfest 2003 (lots of good bands, and had a great time taking a piss while Crazytown was on, how the F they got invited to Ozzfest I have no clue)
Dave Ralph at House of New Orleans, 2004 or so
Tenacious D in San Antonio (much better than the act they were headlining, Weezer)
Airport 02 or so in Austin (Crystal Method, DJ Irene, a few others)
Lots of other assorted rock bands at various San Antonio venues.

And the only DMB concert I went to was in Indiana in the middle of a thunderstorm in summer '05. It was an awesome experience with my 3 roommates at the time (and random people we met there). But I wish I could have been at Live at Luther College for Say Goodbye.

1) Pink Floyd in '87 at PHX Municipal stadium
4th row with 7 of my best friends armed with a Humboldt county fatty.
I was about 20 ft directly in front of Dave Gilmour. Heaven on Earth.
2) The Police in '83 at PHX Municipal Stadium
My 1st real concert. Wow.
3) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers in '89 at the ASU activity center
4th row with my dad.
4) Rush in '84 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Loudest indoor concert i've ever heard. My ears were flat for 3 days after.
5) U2 in '85 at Compton Terrace
At that time,U2 was still drawing mostly a punk-rock crowd...and i went by myself with hair down to the middle of my back. I survived and it was a memorable show.
6) Soundgarden in '90 at Mesa Centennial Hall
Little place,up close and personal.
7) Scorpions with Aerosmith in '86 at Compton Terrace
Loudest outdoor concert i've ever heard.
8) Pink Floyd in '94 at Sun Devil Stadium
I got hold of a J that was laced with something nasty...but hey,it was Floyd.
9) Eric Johnson in '01 at The Cajun House in Scottsdale,AZ
10) Iron Maiden in '86 at Compton Terrace

Did they play working man and don't lie I can look it up.
I refused to see Rush again after what i went through to get those Rush tickets back in 1999 or 2000 right around that era they come to town so many times it gets confusing. I do know it was right around the time Creed came around. Both times a bad experience took place and now I regret not making this a Best and "worst" live events topic.....
bottom-line Rush didn't play working man a song that put them on the map a song that changed history from that day fourth...

Most entertaining show I've ever been to was Bobby Lee doing standup down at the River Center... had to be June or July 2000. Pre-Mad TV. He was opening for Carlos Mencia and ended up stealing the show. I was hugely pregnant and he made me laugh so hard I almost fell off my chair. Damn near wet myself.

Michael Aday had a great 20/20 tour, which I saw in the 80's. I don't know, but it may have been the peak of his stage performances. This one does not do him justice. I think it's from the late 70's. It picks up at 3:20:

I saw so many great acts as a teen in the early 80's: The Police, Peter Tosh, Heart, Hall & Oates, CSNY, B-52's, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Duran Duran, Huey Lewis, Def Leppard---can't even think of em all.
But the most memorable ones are in my adulthood, as my ears matured: Los Lobos, Lyle Lovett, Robert Plant. The Eagles' Hell Freezes Over in 1994 was pretty amazing and ranks right up there top 5 for me. I caught Elton John in Augusta, Georgia around 2001 in a very small theater, no band, just him and a piano; for a not big Elton John fan, I was floored. But the absolutely greatest concert of my life was Steely Dan, July 2006 at the Verizon; my lifelong favorite band, I had seen them before, but there was something about that show that was magical. Never before or since have I "felt" a concert like that one :spin

I would've loved to have seen a show on that tour live. Still one of my favorite albums.
Another one I enjoyed was seeing Jamie Cullum at the Gypsy Tea Room before it closed down. Small venue, a few beers, and some jazz. Pretty sweet mix tbh.

Sorry to hear that.
I got a badass view overlooking the stage and got to watch a 2.5 hour hillbilly jam session. Was so nice after the plastic performance the Pixies put on the night before.
I pretty much lost interest in MM once Marr joined. He and Morrissey need to find a nice chemical fire and throw themselves into it.
