Fans at the games

Ok, so I have traveled to different NBA Arenas from Dallas to Oklahoma City. I have seen on TV the fans in Boston, Cleveland, etc

they all seem to be louder than our fans here in San Antonio, but Cleveland had the hate from LeCon so I won't count them.

But are the Spurs fans too quiet at the games?

My home arena to watch Spurs games is Staples Center. They get loud around the 2nd quarter after arriving late due to preening. I've been to SBC/ATT Center and I thought it's just as loud as any other arena I've been to. Besides those 2 arenas, I've seen NBA games in San Diego Sports Arena(San Diego Clippers), Los Angeles Sports Arena(Los Angeles Clippers), The Forum in Inglewood(Lakers), The Alamodome, Arco Arena(Sacramento Kings), Oracle Arena(Golden State Warriors), and US West(Phoenix Suns). More often then not, those arenas are loud with complaints because the Spurs are winning that game. :)

i like our fan base. it seems to me like we intimidate the opponent without getting obnoxious.

Though, atleast over the past few games, our crowd seems to be a bit more enthusiastic. Prolly has something to do w/ the hot start. Once the Ws and Ls start evening out a bit, we'll get back to our overall comatose state.

I've been to AT&T, Alamodome, US Airways (Phx), Madison Square Garden, Phillips Arena (Atl), Oracle Arena (GS), Arco Arena (Sac), Staples Center, and United Center (Bulls).

My rank of those (in order of crowd noise/atmosphere):
1. Oracle
2. Arco
3. AT&T
4. MSG
5. Alamodome
6. Staples
7. United
8. Phillips
9. US Airways (by far)

Alamodome was ok, but don't forget because that place was so big, it didn't give us the hca that we needed. Sean Elliott even said if we had been at Hemisfair or AT&T Center in 1995, we would have won the title that year.

I thought the crowd sounded amazing during the Twolves game recently. Hoping to make a game when I'm in town over Christmas so hopefully I get to cheer my ass off.

Spurs fans have become spoiled over the last decade. Considering we rang in the AT&T (SBC) Center with a title and followed with two more, that's not entirely surprising.

Attendance isn't terrible, but usually games don't start getting packed until the stretch run, and people don't actually wake up and get off their hands until the fourth quarter or the playoffs.

Then, however, I bet San Antonio is probably one of the most intimidating places to play.

Fans are spoiled. It gets just as loud as any stadium in the league come playoff time though. The atmosphere against Dallas this past playoff was absolutely awesome.
