timvp

SpursTalk received an anonymous donation of ten free tickets to the Spurs vs. Blazers game on Sunday, Dec. 12. The game starts at 2:30 and the tickets are in section 225.

If you want to go to the game, respond to this thread with a favorite SpursTalk related memory and how many tickets you would need. I'll PM the winners by Saturday at 3:00 PM CST.

P.S.

Thanks to the anonymous donor, whomever you may be.

I will require 0 tickets. Thanks!

I remember when we all used to ball at Trinity Univ, and some SAPAR gym. Timvp has some awesome stat line like 34/14/10 or something ;)

I also remember when TPark did this same thing but made us grovel for them. :(

Can I have 3?

Subscribe to the Spurs twitter, facebook and email feeds. They just got through offering tickets for basically nothing, picked up a couple of $110 lower-level seats for Jan 19th for something like $12 total. They did this for a preseason game too.

Don't need any tickets, good luck to those who do.

Of course I'm biased, but those threads spoke volumes about SpursTalk. Some may see it as just a message board, but there are a lot of us that feel it's much more. It felt like I took this community with me, and sharing it with the board made an incredible gift even sweeter. I even got the tickets from someone here that I didn't know at the time they offered to send me.

Good luck to everyone, and make some noise at the game for those of us there in spirit. :)

I remember that day I tried to log in and forgot my password and user name because I never visit this shit hole. Then I had it sent to me in my email and finally posted a few worthless diatribes where I wax philosophical about basketball related things when in reality I am an average salary earning, short white man who couldn't put the ball in a laundry basket, much less hit an open jumper.

I think my favorite memory actually occurs before SpursTalk came to life and we were all still over at SpursReport. Anyone remeber the Basketball tournament and one of the teams were the moderators. I happened to be on that team and realized just how out of shape I was and also learned just how quick Sequ actually was. Our team did have their very own cheer leader though as my daughter came to cheer her dad on or maybe just laugh at my failure.

To bring it more into SpursTalk time, my next favorite time was getting together to watch Dallas fall to Barron Davis and everyone had "Barron Davis" beards, of which mine was natural. :)

I would like 3 tickets if at all possible for me and my 2 girls, but 2 will do and I will only bring my birthday girl.

My favorite moment would be finding this site. As a life long Spurs fan, I was amazed to find a message board dedicated to my favorite team. I spent a lot of time on a heavy music message board before where I was even a moderator, but had nowhere to go to when it came to my Spurs. I visit this site many times a day and have been since the day I registered. No tickets needed :)

I have particularly enjoyed Timvp's ownage of Dusty Garza that began 2000-2001 and the breaking into the Trinity gym for the love of pick up basketball. The funniest memory I have of Timvp is probably one he doesn't remember. Hanging out with Timvp's brother at their parents house long before spursreport or spurstalk. We're watching The Mummy on TNT and Timvp is held up in his room listening to spurs pre-season game on the radio. At the time I couldn't believe he would waste a Saturday night listening.to a pre-season game on the radio. it all makes sense now. He's always had true spurs dedication.

I'll be in town visiting family. My wife and I would love to go..2 tickets please.

Surprised no one even mention jaffies. :huh

His 2 best (and spurstalk) moments when he made the Spurstalk video with Hitler being banned from the site and when he bumped all of Stretch's "lmao" threads and made him eat it all after the spurs eliminated the mavs in the playoffs. :lol

That was pretty sweet.
Enjoy the game for all the winners and I don't think anyone ever thank the anonymous person who made the donations?
Question, does LJ or Kori know who it's from and they're not telling us, or are they really anonymous? If they do know, will they tell us when the winners are picked?
