5. we had Cheney itching to pull the trigger on sending the MIC to $$war$$ so he/his pals could reap the benfit of war/reconstruction/security/etc/etc
6. Bush wanted revenge for his poppa
7. we (wolfowitz and rummy) had been talking about invading a middle east country since the 1970's, and
8. we finally found our opening with 9/11 (wtf?!?!?!? Osama was thousands of miles away?!?!?!? again, wtf!?!?!?)

No doubt. I don't think she was one of the war hawks, though.She also tried to mitigate some of the damage after Rumsfeld fucked everything up. The biggest fuck up of hers besides falling in love was leading the policy shift away from the terrorism and back towards Russia as the most imminent threat to the US.
