In the bad news department, Bogut is beasting.
I think we won't see a lot of Blair Wednesday. Would be nice to see how Tiago matches up against him.

Let's hope the Spurs can capitalize on this and destroy the Bucks on Wednesday. They have to take advantage of this and gain some ground.

mavs had alot of open 3 pointers but didn't knock them down and they looked tired, spurs have had alot of rest recently, just need rebound and knock them 3's down and it should be an easy game.

i agree with Ducks, we shouldn't overlook them. this is an under rated team

This is good. Not just because the Mavs lost, either. But because the Bucks had lost 7 straight on the road and were underachieving as a team, particularly offensively. They were due for a good shooting game and a road win and they just got both.
Hopefully, they revert to what they've been all season (horrific offensively) and the Spurs can get a relatively easy win, while continuing to improve their defensive numbers in the process.

CDR's gonna come and show why he should have been drafted over Hill.
Good - Spurs need a buffer as Mavs have the tiebreaker so far and also the easier schedule left.

Indeed. I love Bogut - such an old-school guy on and off the court, and even playing with pain he is dominating the shit out of people. The man is a credit to Australia (although he gets very little press here, which is surprising given that he's the best NBA player Australia has produced).
hack a bogut
I wouldn't be surprised to see Pop use this tactically. He has before, and it is the one chink in Bogut's armour right now.
CDR's gonna come and show why he should have been drafted over Hill.

IIRC, most of the Bucks' wins were during the Redd era or before. That guy used to kill us repeatedly.
Just looked up recent seasons - we went 2-0 against them last year, 0-2 the year before, 2-0 the year before, 0-2 the year before that... the "pattern" suggest we're in for an 0-2 season, but I think we'll break the pattern. ;)

.454 against the Bucks since 1999 and that's a Spurs team that has averaged 57 wins/season (.694 winning percentage) over those 11 seasons.

Yeah I've noticed that as well and the Bucks have always played the Spurs tough so those chances go up 10 fold.

Actually, the Spurs went 0-6 from 2000-2002 versus the Bucks after winning their 1st championship. George Karl was their coach and Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Glenn Robinson, and Tim Thomas were their main guys. Redd didn't really start contributing until his 2nd year in 2002.

Sure, no disputing that. Allen and Cassell regularly had their way with us too, although I don't remember Robinson or Thomas torching us (might be selective memory). BTW, that's why I said "or before". ;)
However, I can definitely remember at least 2 games where Redd killed us singlehandedly with 36 and 15 in the 4th, that kind of thing.

However, I don't see this Bucks team beating us right now - too many mistakes, and they don't finish games well. Jennings tends to try to do too much in the clutch and forgets he has Bogut in the post (which I always find infuriating), or Salmons goes 1-on-5 and misses or turns it over.
Too many ball-stoppers on that team with Jennings/Salmons/Maggette/Gooden. I had great hopes for them to make some noise in the East this year, but Maggette is a totally wrong fit and Salmons frustratingly inconsistent, which forces Jennings to be selfish at times while Bogut is forgotten.

The Mavs have been playing stellar defense thanks to their 2-3 Zone.
I have to ask, won't teams eventually figure out how to attack their zone by the 2nd half of the season?
Dallas has great length which is obviously bothering opponents, but I'm just wondering if they can keep this intense D up all year long.

and when they happens i hope they finally remain irrelevant in the seasons thereafter for as long as duncan, ginobili and parker can still hang in there and contend.
it annoys me that the mavericks are only good when the spurs are good. they are fucking cockblockers.... it's like if they only get happy when they beat the spurs and that's it. it's stupid and annoying that they are that type of team.
it seems they are only happy to give the Spurs a tough time for some reason.

I agree with you here,
Mavericks are very annoying because they are like a gnat or mosquito, just totally being an annoyance.
Who cares though, they won't win anything.
Out in the 2nd round like I said. Mark it down.
YES! I was hoping they wouldn't pass up our winning streak. Good job bucks, but your about to face the real deal holyfield. Im going to this one... :whine

THe Bucks are ALWAYS a tough matchup for the Spurs - regardless of record. Still they're one of the worst offensive teams in the NBA, coming into the week It just turns out that they had one of their most impressive offensive showings versus the Mavs. They also played some damn good D against the Mavs, as well.
They're going to be a very tough matchup on Wed night.

Yeah Bucks traditionally have the Spurs number, not so sure that's going to be the case anymore. They were always seemingly custom built to beat the Spurs, and home to a number of famed spur killers.
I wouldn't sleep on them at all. The Spurs better take advantage of the Dallas loss this coming game.

Mavericks barley beat the Jazz a couple nights ago. Mavericks had a 25 point lead over the Jazz, and then the Jazz came back.
Bucks were losing by around 18-20 points and they came back. Pretty sloppy of the Mavericks.
Now for the Spurs to play the Bucks on Wednesday.
Bogut's going to beast on us, as always. Hopefully we can keep everyone else in check.
He suddenly plays like an MVP candidate whenever the Spurs play the Bucks.
Fuck you Bogut! The Spurs didn't do anything to you..
