Anyone wanna give me idea's on where to start for a research report? I was orginally going to do it on the 'sterioid use in the Olympics' controversy, so MY DUMB BITCH ASS SLACK JAWED YOKEL ENGLISH TEACHER WHO IS A VERY BIG BITCH said that it was too broad(WTF?) and I should do something else like the diffrenece between amateur athletes who use roids and pro one's that don't(WTF?). So I just bagged that and switching to the Homeless and what is the Goverment doing and what can the Goverment do to solve the problem. Problem is I have no clue on where to find ANY info on this topic I've only searched for about 4 hours spanning over 2 days and get some blog about a homeless and a homeless dude who is asking for free money. Right now I feel like purchasing a pre-written report from www.essaytown.com or www.thesisstatements.com something like that. MY DUMB BITCH ASS SLACK JAWED YOKEL ENGLISH TEACHER WHO IS A VERY BIG BITCH also didn't really give us any idea or help on how she wants us to start this piece of shit report or how she wants the layout with the works cited. SO I AM BEGGING please help or do my report for me.

:lol Looks like you got yourself into this one, and you're going to have to get yourself out.

Since you didn't have the forsight to find out how much information there was on the subject before you selected it, you really don't have a whole lot of options.

The best thing to do is to ask your teacher if you can change topics. If she won't let you do that, I guess you could toe the line and use as little quoted information as possible, filling the paper with broad assumptions and conclusions you logically came to. Although if you're asking someone on a message board to write it for you, it doesn't look like you have a lot of the latter anyways.

Best of luck, I guess. Take this as a learning experience.

You ever heard of brainstorming? Writing ideas down in a circle. Then researching each one, put them into paragraphs... Start with an opening... finish with the opening and fill it with bullshit.

Gets an A everytime.

Nice job narrowing it down...

Try doing a report on the use of cruise ships in NY being used as homeless shelters. It's a current topic and will narrow your scope down.

There's plenty of information out there about the new laws being passed in this city regarding the homeless.

You can search for those at www.mysa.com

In adition you can use other newspaper sources such as the current www.sacurrent.com and television sources such as woai.

You could call up your council person and find out how they stand on the issue, maybe if you're lucky they'll give you some quotes to use for the paper.

There's plenty of information out there, and you should be able to find it easily but you need to put in some actual work.

do a feel good piece on guilt free spring break sex,

or just tell her that your olympic topic is not too broad and you'll focus on the facts and maybe one specific case.

Do you know how to use the reference section in the library? That probably sounds snarky, but I don't mean it that way. :) When I had to do a report, that was the first place I went, so it surprises me you're at a loss as to how to begin. I can't remember what it's called, but ask the librarian. It's a giant blue book where you can look up absolutely anything and it will tell you every periodical that has ever done a piece on that topic. There have to be millions of articles on homelessness.

I've got a paper on women's menstrual cycles in early Chinese communist history if that's specific enough. I have a feeling she wouldn't believe that you wrote it, though.

Wow what class was this research paper done for? And damn how were you able to find all your research?

"Revolutionary China" - and there are a ton of books coming out now about that time period in China - in particular critical analyses of reprocussions from Mao's Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution, and the revolution's guerilla warfare when overthrowing the Guomintang - and also female autobiographies (Anchee Min's is still one of my favorite books ever). In between that and medical and history journal articles it filled over 12 pages.
