I saw James Anderson tonight at La Cantera. He was taking a Christmas picture with his baby. He had a slight limp when he was walking.

How much cardio work did you expect Anderson to do on 1 foot?

Hit the pool. Swim 30 laps every other day. Easy.

Let's calm down people. The Spurs staff doesn't let our guys get outta shape. And lord knows Pop doesn't play guys coming back from injury unless they are truly 100% clear and ready to go.

Whenever James Anderson comes back and starts playing, he will be indeed ready to go.

True, but for basketball players, running is usually the best way to keep or get in shape. Tjastal said in a earlier post, that swimming would keep your cardio up. I honestly don't know.

Catching Up With James Anderson - Spurs.com recently caught up with rookie James Anderson to briefly check-in on his rehab for his injured foot and to find out what's he's doing to keep busy while on the sideline. Spurs.com - How’s the foot? Have you been able to do anything to make it better? James Anderson - I’ve been doing a lot of pool workouts and anything else I can that doesn’t involve putting pressure on my foot. I’m still trying to stay in good condition the best way I can without being on court running.

Hopefully not. Then again, while he was sitting for the picture at La Cantera a 5-year-old jumped in his lap and said he wanted a G.I. Joe for Christmas.

You really need to reevaluate what you consider "in shape". I have personally seen him several times this month & he is no where near out of shape.

FWIW, he was wearing the boot last Sunday, so if he's out of it, that is a good thing.

Pregame tonight.

Saw James Anderson leaving weight room. Not wearing a boot on repaired right foot.
