View Full Version : Heat-Celtics ECF: Has your opinion changed in the last 10 games?

With just over 1/4 of the season already in the books it appears that the preseason prognostications of a Heat-Celtics ECF seem very real. 10 games ago, however, I think most people would've picked Boston in a landslide.

What say you now?

I still think Boston takes it in 5 or 6 due to length and depth, tbh.

If the Celtics are healthy, they probably take it in 6..

I would be surprised if Boston is healthy at that point, so I will take Miami in 6..

A lot of factors though..the health of Boston's old men, what will Perkins look like when he returns?..how long will it take Mike Miller to get in a rhythm?(hand injuries can be tricky and take a while)..will Haslem be back?..

Garnett's health is not only important because he's Boston's most impactful player, obviously, but also because Bosh is scared of him..

Boston in 7. Too much size.

A lot of factors to take into place. Heat obviously are getting better but still have work to do. They have an injury exception for Haslem but not sure if they can make a move with that. Boston is a old team and if Shaq is playing at the level he did earlier in the season then I expect Boston to win in 6. Biggest question hangs over Boston's health. Both Rondo and Shaq are injured again. IMO those two make the series go more Boston's way.

Boston don't need Perkins or JO to kick the Heat ass. The Heat have no inside presence. James is afraid of the moment, and Wade has already said he hates to guard Ray. You never give that info up against your enemy. If Rondo is healthy, Boston wins easily.

How does it feel to know that your team has no shot at a finals appearance, let alone a shot at my title?
Your going to have to try harder than that. Lazy troll job tbh

You also forgot about Lebron's stepdad. Celts will be deeper with him back allowing them to stay fresh for the postseason.

IF the Celts can stay healthy, I like their chances to get back to the finals. They are the only team in the east that stands as a true threat to Miami.

No. Boston will still win over Miami

If/When Perkins comes back they have a stable of big men that can all alleviate each other's minutes. Heat are going to no doubt get better and better, but I think the only shot they may have THIS year is getting HCA...even then it's still sketchy due to their size.

Grey named Spurs fan thoughts on why Miami will not win in 4,3,2...

If the Celtics are healthy by then, I'd say they are the favorites to win the entire thing, not just the East..

It's tough though..they did good in getting depth to negate some of the age, but it would be impressive if they were healthy at that point IMO..deep run after deep run takes a toll, from a physical standpoint..

Perhaps. I'd definitely say Bosh is the worst of those three.

Apples to oranges. The Spurs have best record in the NBA.

By your logic the Heat are not legit unless they beat the teams you listed but that doesn't apply to the Spurs? Classic grey Spurs fan logic

Boston of course. They are the only team that scares me. Miami's potential is intimidating but i doubt we see it realized enough for a title this season. Big blow to the Bulls BTW who i like for a chance to upset Orlando or miami. I dont think they can beat Celts without some hot shooting from korver and non abysmal shooting at the SG (starter) but before the Noah injury I think an trip to the ECF was possible if they played Orlando in particular ...

Injuries to the O'nelas won't matter IF Perk is really able to come back effective. If rondo KG Allen and Pierce are healthy Heat sre not beating them THIS season ...
