Sadly, I missed the 2nd and 3rd quarter but I luckily got to the game in time in the 4th quarter to see Manu drain a game-winner. :downspin: But I think I heard something on t.v and I keep hearing shit here on SpursTalk that something happened to Blair and Tiago? Did they get injured or something? I freaking hope they didn't.

Can someone please fill in a fellow Spurs fan? :toast

Oh and Manu = God. :king

Two of the Spurs’ five big men left the game with injuries, and both will wait to see how they feel when they awaken today before declaring their availability for tonight at Denver.

Starting center DeJuan Blair left the game with 6:23 remaining in the third quarter after banging his right knee against Bogut’s knee. He returned to the bench but did not play again.

“I might have hyper-extended it a little,” Blair said. “I think I’m good to go (tonight).”

Rookie center Tiago Splitter suffered a right adductor contusion when he was kneed in the right groin area as he jumped to defend a drive to the basket by Ersan Ilyasova with 2:56 remaining in the second quarter.

He did not play in the second half.

I think Blair will return, as for Tiago, doubt it.

Blair's knees are so weird. So he essentially doesn't have any, but when he injures them, they're more durable than most.

Splitter's was one of those moments where you watch it and immediately feel a little weak in the gut. They nutcrackered his sugar plums.

I cant fault Tiago for sitting out this next game, that shot to the groin/leg was sick. My gf and I just turned away from the TV when we saw that shit.

Blair may have banged his knee on Bogut's at some point, but the play that caused Blair to limp, flex his knee and leave the game was when Brandon Jennings got tripped up and he rolled into Blair's knee. It appeared to hyperextend his right knee.

It appeared to hyperextend his right knee.

It's pretty amazing how that doesn't happen more often given the fact that Blair has no ACL's.

Wouldn't you agree Solid D?

I'm not sure. I would think Blair would have less knee stability in general and be more susceptible to injury. The roll-up by Jennings would have probably hyperextended most player's knees to some degree.

I was there last night. That shot Tiago took looked awful, the entire arena let out a collective groan when the showed the reply. :lol

Thanks Solid D :toast

More of the clowns on here need to learn a thing or two from you.

You should offer your own Spurstalk posting class or tutoring session. ( like Solid D Spurstalking 101) :lol

Okay, I just went back to the DVR of the 3rd Qtr and found the Blair injury at the 6:43 mark of the 3rd. Jennings got screened by Hill and then tripped over George's foot. Jennings stumbled and ended up barreling into Blair about knee-high.

:lol thanks Eric. The only advice I have for anyone would be for Sequ...quit asking people in the room "who's winning?" and watch a game!

I almost always get nervous whenever Blair goes up for a dunk or tries to block a shot, I keep thinking his knees are just gonna explode or something when he lands lol.
